You rarely see an original character in games with there own distinct personality. And when they do its usually lame with vo's and dialogue to match. I would almost rather have a no personality character like Ryu Hayabusa, than have to put up with another loser ass line from Dante, or Leon Kennedy. Unfortunately RPGs seem to be the same way now. But for every 10 cookie cutter characters at least we get 1 thats not. Guess we should be greatful for that.

EDIT: Whoah didnt see you had uncharted in that list. Drake is quite original with good dialogue and vo.

Yes actually....please keep going... but try to name people, not robots. And I already mentioned GTA. After you name them all, I'll name all of the lame white guy heroes....it may take a couple of threads....

WOW, has anyone actually read my original post? I don't care that they are white, as was mentioned in the ORIGINAL POST. It's their lame personailty that I hate...and they all are white...which further makes me angry because there is no diversity...

every hero is a white male with no personality...which is why I said that I'm tired of lame white heroes.

If I was talking about the presidents, I would say I'm tired of lame white presidents....because they are all white...and lame...except Clinton.

All I'm saying is that when a game is made nowadays its like they all sit in a room and say "I got it, a white guy, named john, with a Tom Cruise personalily...saves the world!" And everyone applauds in approval.

Lol so becuase hes white means its unorginal so if he was white and was the best kick ass charcter you would say its unorginal becuase he's white i mean im not offended or anything but you better change it up or Gamespot is going to lock this thread.

Well, when I start seeing black main characters I'll go back and change it....I wouldn't wait up for that tho...it may take a while.

I say white because every single main character is white...or a robot...unless its a sports game.

Assassins Creed...Resident Evil 4...Uncharted...Devil May Cry and the list goes on. All of these games have a lame white guy with horrible, awful dialogue. Its like they are all Tom Cruise or something. I have nothing against them being white, its the fact that they are so cookie cutter that its almost ridiculous. Are the game developers so non creative that they can't give the main character some ummph?

Kratos.......just the name give you chills. This guy is a character. He has a personality...not some lame hollywood personality. I am just tired of seeing the exact same lame white guy save the world. Give the main character some life for God's sake. Maybe I'm being a bit too hard on Dante from DMC, but he still had some lame lines.

And Altair is just a joke. With his bad assjob they could've made him so much cooler....but noooo...cookie cutter lame white guy is what was easiest.

Where's the diversity...where's the REAL personality?...Where's the uummph in the main characters these days? Think Grand Theft Auto and God of War, and Metal Gear Solid, and Halo...

This is what its like playing Assassins Creed. The game is fun to play, but it almost seems as if they tried waayyyyy to hard to make it the best game ever. They tell you how to do everything.....everything!!!!

When I play this game, I don't feel like its "open" but rather like I'm being led down a very specific path. All the cities look the same with some slight variations. EVERY SINGLE MISSION IS THE SAME!

I don't know....I liked this game, but I think it was over hyped and overrated. I would give it an 8.8...which is still good, but some people think this game is the best game ever...and the truth is that there are a lot of things that I wish they would've changed.

Isn't the whole point of gaming to figure things out on your own? Thats what makes it fun...not being spoonfed like a baby.....
