Remember the dreaded disc reading error messages that the PS2 would give out after too much DVD watching? Will the same thing happen with my new PS3?

A friend told me that they made the disc reader a lot better this time around, but i'm still kind of weary to start watching hours of movies and play hours of games at the same time. Is this an actual problem with the PS3?

Look at the top 10 games out for XBox:

Assassian Creed, Halo 3, Air Combat, Call of Duty 4. There are more that I haven't named, but come on, you've got to admit that 360's bread and butter is FPS. Not that they aren't good, but its seems like they are only targeting certain people.

Why is every game on 360 geared towards one kind of fan? It seems like all the games are overly manly first person shooters, usually about war or some alien planet.

If not that, then its some army or marine shooter up game. Are there any other games on the planet? Oh yeah...a couple of racing games...now back to shooting things.

I love FPS, but come on!! After a while, its tiresome. Why waste your money on 20 FPS that are all basically the same: Shoot, run, don't get hit, complete mission, find an area, protect your team, defeat boss.

I can't wait for games like SSX 4 to come out and more adventure games. I'm just tired of shooting random bad guys that mean nothing. I can go back to Goldeneye on N64 if I want that.

After playing SSX 3 till I almost died, I am starting to love this genre. I am interested in buying a Tony Hawk game, but I have no clue which one to Buy! There are so many versions, and the 3rd one got a rating of 10 on GS. But it was rated in 2001 so you can't really trust it anymore.

Which one is the best game? Don't give me that "you have to start off with the first one to understand it" crap. If a game is good, its good, regardless of the ones before it.

When I asked if it was like burnout revenge I mean is it a game that even people who don't like the sport will think is amazing. Also, they are both EA games, and I was wondering if SSX was as FAst paced as burnout as well. I hated racing games for the most part until I played Burnout; now I am addicted to it.

 I'm impartial to Snowboarding games (1080 snowboarding for N64 was great!) So I was wondering if SSX was so good that it doesn't matter if you like snowboarding or not.

I don't want to rent it because I am very cheap! I never like renting because I could be using that money towards the game, since it is only 14 bucks now. ANd it would cost 7 to rent from blockbuster.....

But I think 3 might be the most well rounded one, but it got a lower review on Gamespot. Is this because Tricky came out in 2001, so there wasn't much to compare it to?

My girlfriend has finally warmed up to playing my PS2 with me. We love playing Burnout Revenge. However, most of the games that I buy are single player (RE4, GOW, Hitman, Some sports games).

When I play games with my guy friends, I usually just play a sports game. But are there any other good 2 player games that I can play together with my girl? Please let me know. Thanks!
