I think this is the most important thread that Gamespot has ever had. Regardless of what you think of my "problem" this thread made a lot of people look into their own lives and see what role video games play in general.

I love my girlfriend, of course, but when it comes to doing things like hanging out, going to the club, or going to the gym, sometimes I'd much rahter just play Ratchet and Clank for the 2nd time around. Or play MLB The show for a couple of hours and call it a night. The saddest part about this whole thing is that I'm not a freak, or a weirdo. I do have a lot of friends, and I live right next to a college campus so there is always something to do, but nothing is more enjoyable to me than playing my PS3!

I think people have an idea in their heads of a helpless loser with coke bottle glasses that has no friends and was always picked on in school, but just like there are next-gen consoles, there are next-gen gamers that choose to play COD4 online all night instead of going to the bar and spending 15 bucks on a jack and coke. We are not alienated from society, we are not social outcast; it is a simple choice that we make. It all comes down to preference. I think more people are like me than they wish to admitt.

would the original TC ever make these claims in the real world? ,,,, also I highly doubt he has a gf,, hes only sayin that to trying and justify his case,, doubt a girl would stay with a guy who only plays games unless you shower her with money the way you do your ps3

either way, outside contact from the world will be on hold for me on April 29th, so maybe im being a hypocrite

Again, why do people think that video game addiction and women troubles go hand in hand? People are addicted to Alcohol, Cigarettes, porn, an yes, video games, and stil have workinng relationships with their significant others. If I was lying about a woman, I'd say I had 5 girlfriends...who lies about being in a comitted relationship?

True, it has the best forums. But gametrailers has more videos, better content, and is just an overall better website.

If you have never been to Gametrailers.com, you definately need to check it out. I like gamespot, but I find myself going to gametrailers more and more because the reviews are a lot better.

They also have a video game vault, you can look up your favorite games from back in the day and they have a video review of them and they make hilarious comments about them. It's definately worth checking out.

Lastly, they actually have the video of the resident evil 5 announcement by capcom, instead of just an article about it. Gametrailers really is stepping up its game. You guys should check it out. (If for nothing else, to get a REAL review of Condemned Bloodshot 2)

Thank you. I am very religious. But I can't throw a granade at Jesus while he is hiding in the corner in COD4, I can't dunk on Jesus in NBA2K8, and I can't pin Jesus's car against the boards and take him out like I do in Burnout Paradise....or can I???
