Besides releasing an embarrassingly under powered console compared to what the rest of the gaming industry is doing, it looks like Nintendo has no plans to set themselves apart from the competition. Imitation is not a form of flattery in this case.
Prior to the games release I hated every single thing about it. The concept, the characters, the whole hacktivist b.s... made me think of the these self righteous hacker group assholes like Anonymous and Lizard Squad and if I were in a room alone with one of them they wouldn't make it out alive.
With that said, I did manage to get possession of the game and was curious about the graphics. Honestly, I was blown away by nearly ever aspect of the game. It was the next logical evolution of GTA and was actually really great. Some of the story elements were superficial, ridiculous and completely unnecessary at times but overall I was really disappointed that it didn't do better sales wise. I bet I wasn't the only one avoiding it because of their marketing approach but there is more to the game than that. The PS4 Pro demo looked beautiful on a 4K screen but the PC with all ultra 4k/60 was a staggering experience. Some games may seem mediocre or uninteresting but when you get 7.1 surround and 4K graphics on a huge screen the experience become something more.
The open world was alive and busy and felt completely believable. Highly recommended.
I think the whole "Access" service would be better served if it was a yearly subscription that simply included all the new games right off the bat instead of waiting for them to be "vaulted". I would be more likely to pay for the service if I had a immediate and unlimited access to the NEW games coming out, not ones I've already played or previously passed on due to lack of interest.
