Microsoft would be better off sticking with more FPS Halo and Gears. It's the only thing they can make that their fans will buy. Cuphead isn't going to save them. Major exclusive AAA shooters will, whether people want to admit it or not. And of course there will still be another Forza at the end of the year that they can bleed more DLC, Season Passes and Micro-transactions from their followers with.
@Moonco: Nintendo isn't crushing Microsoft out of fear, Microsoft is crushing Microsoft out of stupidity. Sony's got too many games to count coming out this year and next yet Microsoft decided to cancel their only major exclusive. Nintendo didn't do that to them, they did.
Thank god Sony's got new games coming out this year. I dread the ridiculous Xbox fanboys that will say how crappy they all are instead of just upgrading to PS4 Pro.
Doing some testing of PS4 Pro games that render native at 1440p and 1800p, I have to say on a 70" 4K, 1800p is pleasant enough and acceptable to not play on PC at native 4k if the price was right or a matter of convenience. Where the 1440p native still leaves me longing for more detail no matter how fancy their checkerboard rendering is. For console exclusives, it's finally a joy to not have the jaggies and general poor graphical enhancement that plagued the base launch model of the current gen consoles on a 4K TV. I will say, for Pro enhanced games in general, it's nice to finally load up a game and enjoy it without the graphics dragging me out of the experience.
In the next couple months I plan to go with a 65" OLED with HDR in place of my existing non HDR 4k so I'm expecting even greater things from the Pro once I have HDR. Not that you care.
@calibretto9: The game natively renders in 1440p but outputs at a 2160p (upscales) so UHD TV's can display the picture properly. Just like how Xbox games natively render at wacky resolutions ranging from 720p to 900p then scale the image to 1080p so those older TV's can display the image. Fallout 4 will NOT work on a 1440p gaming monitor.
I hope they've figured out which title they plan to announce that will subsequently get canceled next year. I pray it's not Crackdown 3, that's the only arrow left in their quiver before their doomsday clock reaches midnight.
@deathwish026: Existing online vendors like Newegg and in this case Antonline have an Ebay presence for offering items at prices they may not be allowed to advertise on their primary webstores.
