Luckily I scheduled time to be online for the pre-ordering event. I'm surprised Amazon is sold out but also delighted. Means there is plenty of interest and the success of the console means more serious support from devs that will trickle down to the Pro as well. The more we get 4k into homes and into gamers hands the better off we'll all be.

@yukushi: Dude... it's more than a step. I'm a PS4 Pro owner and am fully aware that the X will be better and mine's locked in with Amazon already. The performance difference on genuine Pro enhanced games from their base PS4 1080p versions are fairly substantial at a minimum 1440p, to a greater 1800p. The performance difference between the Pro and X is greater than that of the base PS4 and the Pro. Logically, there will be a greater AND measurable improvement in the X games IF the devs are actually taking advantage of it the right way and not the lazy way like they've been caught doing with the Pro.

Seems the mega-all powerful Xbox One X has become self aware, Skynet is upon us.

Got my pre-order in at Amazon. Kept hitting refresh and then there it was. So happy... yet so sad. Strangely, it went live on Amazon not even a minute after the show announcement but Microsoft's own store still doesn't have them available yet.

1440p/30fps... no way I'm spending $500 on the Xbox One X if that is the crap resolution games will be. Not thrilled with that, PS4 Pro already suffes from too many 1440p/30 titles and that's not great for 4K TV owners.

@Random_Matt: The kids games justify the complete lack of power when modern AAA games targeted to adults demands it.

@Fandango_Letho: All the games in the world won't make me play them on the Xbox One in 720p on my 4K tv.

Maybe this poorly executed Crackdown knockoff is why Crackdown was delayed since it might not be much better.
