Just pick 1080p from the menu and ignore the optimal settings. If you find that some games seem to be running choppy, try to drop down to 720p and see if it makes any difference. It shouldn't... the 360 can supposedly scale without taxing the game.

ME just went gold. It should be release on the advertised date... If money is tight I would suggest that ME would be the longer, more enjoyable experience. Unless you get deeply hooked on Multiplayer games.

sound quality has been good, i wouldn't say excellent. But i love the versatility. The Mic is great for PC and Xbox360 (no inline mute though). Lows - no master volume in-line (there is one on the decoder), you need to change the volume of each speaker group independently (one for front, rear, center, sub) - sound quality may not be up to the same standard as similarly priced stereo highs - works with (almost) anything - 5.1 - Mic

Check out the POF-830 on this page, and my appologies i didn't know the name for it. coaxial. But does send a digital signal. http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/audio_toslink_adapt.html For your question, "Is it worth it?" Only if you have 5.1 speakers. You need to go digital for DD5.1 surround sound. If you only have 2 speakers, just use the Line In.

The 40" Flat-Panel LCD. Projection televisions are bigger (and cheaper), but not as bright. Go with projection if you care about getting as big as you can for your budget. Go with flat panel if picture quality is your primary concern.

Can you describe with that Digital in looks like? It can be one of three things. - a 3.5mm jack - a composite jack, similar to what you would see on a tv (a circle with a large hole in the middle) - or, a small (not quite square) gate. If it is a gate, that is for toslink cables. If it is a 3.5mm jack, you can use the adapter that comes with the cable you linked. If it is the composite jack, you may need a converter.

What you want is coaxial cable - it's shielded so you won't get electrical interference and it can run up to 500 meters.

100 feet is around 30.5 meters so it shouldn't lose any signal strength.

And no, going up, through and down the attic won't cause a bad signal.

Max lengths of other types of cables before they lose signal strength:
STP (Shielded Twisted-Pair) - 100 meters (328 feet)
UTP (Unshielded Twisted-Pair) - 100 meters (328 feet)

But I doubt you'd come across those, coaxial is Ethernet standard.

KrisBolton
UTP, also known as Cat5 or Cat5e cable is the standard we use for LAN networking. Coax cable is what cable companies use to bring tv, voice, and internet into your home. Nobody has used coax for lan networking for a very long time.

Sharp Marketing suggests 6" (of screen) / foot which is rediculous. 5" / Foot is still a luxury, 4" / Foot should be the minimum target. So by my math you're still in the Luxury category!

It is posted on usenet under the wrong title (ut2003 rather than ut3) group: alt.binaries.boneless subject line snippet: !!!!! Neo567 post UT2003 DEMO !!! If you don't know what usenet is, don't bother with this info :) Also, Fileshack has it. If you register ($1) you can get pretty good speeds, if not, it's about a 30 minute to 1 hour wait for the free server. I cannot confirm that the Fileshack file is unlocked at this time. The file on usenet IS, it is the same unlocked file that was leaked earlier today.
