Of course they contacted Ebay ahead of time and made an agreement with them that they would post this card on their site then "leak" that it was stolen to a select few to generate a little buzz. Why do you think the maximum bid is 1.1million? Thats the bid XFX put in place to match what the predetermined marketing fee was going to be to post it on Ebay knowing that nobody in their right mind would outbid 1.1 million and if they did, good for XFX and Ebay as a whole.freesafety13
XFX isn't going to pay any fees on this. If anything they already paid EBay and more than $10,000.
The HD 5770 as the performance of about an HD 4870, but has DX11. The HD 4890 is the faster choice, but this is something that you need to decide about. DO you want more GPU power or do you want a slightly more advanced card? The HD 5770 lets you run three monitors as one screen.
Why don't you try to come up with some new material chese, your act is getting old. Of course it is a marketing ploy, duh, the point Lukozer is making is that XFX is going to pay at least 10k for their limited audience marketing. Which I'm sure Ebay has zero problem allowing them to use their website for.freesafety13
Don't you think XFX would have contacted EBay about this so that when someone reported the listing as stolen merchandise they wouldn't remove the listing?
This is effectively the same thing as Virtual memory, but instead of using your hard drive for the virtual memory it uses the USB flash drive.
This is great if you have say 1GB of RAM, but most computer now are being shipped with 3+ GB of RAM now a days. This was a great feature when only had so little RAM, you could just go out and spend $10 on a 2GB flash drive and increase your available memory, but it doesn't give the same performance as RAM does.
The FVF fee's are a percentage of the final amount it sells for, and even if it that amount was the smallest it could possibly be on ebay, 1%, that will be $10,000. As it is, the FVF fee's are never just 1% of the final amount. These fees are obligatory, whether the "buyer" pays or not, they are calculated the moment the auction ends if it has received any bids... this auction has had at least 44 of them. The current high bidder has a rating of 0 and placed his current bid less than a day after the auction was listed, which is suspicious enough but when that initial bid was at least $1,100,000 it makes it even more suspicous, but whatever the outcome, the resulting fees will need to be paid. If this auction is genuine, which is highly unlikely, then the current high bidder is almost certainly a time waster and there is nothing to stop him using an easily exploitableloophole in ebay to not have to pay, yet still leave the seller with $10,000+ in fees to pay.

Going to repeat
NONE OF THAT MATTERS!
It's marketing, it even said in the e-mail something about Gamertainment according to people of the Extreme Overclocking Forums. If it was stolen all they would have to do is contact EBay. EBay would remove the listing and ban the user for selling stolen merchandise.

More than likely, this is it. 1) No millionaire is dumb enough to bid that much for a graphics card. He/she would be too intelligent for that.. that's why he/she is a millionaire in the first place. 2) Even if you had money like that to throw around.. it wouldn't be on a graphics card.. when you can have stadium full of alienware computers for that much money.. 3) I find it even more hilarious how some people actually thought this was true. 4) It could have been a marketing ploy or.. 5) Someone did steal it and it was being covered up by overbidding until no person with their right mind could buy it.Elian2530
And I repeat as well as say this, read all posts before replying.
