I can confirm that this DOES work with my HD 4870 X2 and 8800 GTX.

Also, Nvidia is NOT going to update the driver to remove the missing "DRM". They are going to leave the beta up as it is, when they release the WHQL certified drivers though, you will not be able to use those for PhysX without GenL's Hybrid PhysX mod.

Why would you suggest EBay over a more preferred site, like Newegg?

Get the client for FREE from Eve's site.

Uninstall the client installed FROM Steam.

Add Eve client to Eve as a non-Steam game.

Save hassle from Steam trying to download updates and just let the client do it itself.

???

Profit

Buying into LGA 775 is like buying a PS2. They are both dead platforms now.

I don't believe so. Though I will point this out now.

If the OS doesn't automatically assign a drive letter to the hard drive you will have to do it manually. Which can be achieved quite easily through a few mouse clicks.

Click on the Start Menu -> Right click on My Computer -> Click manage -> This will bring up a new window -> Under 'Storage' click on Disk Management.

You will now see a list of hard drives and storage devices. You will be looking for a storage device with the same size as the hard drive you just installed. Right click -> Click Change Drive Letter and Paths -> Click the 'Add" button -> Click 'Assign the following drive letter:' if it isn't already selected -> Select a letter and press OK.

You can format the drive from there as well with Right click -> format.

which would be better though ntfs or fat32? prolly gonna get either another 320 or a 500g (prolly same brand as mine now, hitachi)

(Could I install games to it, and not lose performance, or the music stuff I download? or would it be just to save files and such to?)

Lach0121

NTFS, Fat32 has a file size limit of 4GB.

You might want to look at getting a faster larger hard drive. The hard drive will be usable for anything from just small files to game installations or even recording in-game video.

No, this won't effect your original hard drive.

Yes, you should only have to plug it into the PC through SATA and format it in Windows.

Yes, you have the option of NTFS as well as FAT32, depending on the size that you get.

You can legally reinstall your OS as long as you don't change your motherboard.

Secondly, you can add a second hard drive for just storage. The OS should see it and automatically assign a drive letter to it, though you may need to format the HDD to store any information on it.

If your not taking this drive any where you could just purchase an internal HDD. It would achieve much better read write speeds over USB/eSATA.

If you are doing this for a drive you can take with you, I would suggest picking up a large internal for your PC and then throwing the 320GB into an external case.
