The 250 is a 9800GTX+ which is much better than my 8800GTS 320MB that hasn't let me down yet, plays every game out at med/high.Too_tight_shoesIt's a little bit more then that. It's a slightly more energy efficient 9800GTX+ and it also performs a little bit better and carries a smaller price tag compared to the 9800GTX+. I've also seen that the 250 only requires one 6-Pin PCI-E connector where as the GTX+ requires two in most cases. It's also pretty easy to do Tri-SLI or SLI+PhysX with the GTS 250s because they are so inexpensive.

[QUOTE="Decrate"]You can get a killer AMD based system for that price (with the new 5850 video card being released next week). What games are you gonna play with this by the way?i chose the gtx+ because it was the most popular on newegg. there are so many different models of video cards it can get confusing knowing which one offers the most power for the price.

You know the HD 5850 is going to cost of $300 right?
You can get a quad core machine for about $1000 now...
I would suggest looking at AMD's $100 quad cores...
Here is a build I just threw together using it.

Tri-SLI capable, single +12v Rail PSU, GTS 250 which is a slightly better rebranded 9800GTX+, quad core, 4GB RAM, no OS, full tower case and lots of upgrade ability.
Its a good case, imo though, there are better ones.
Here is what one guy did to his 1200 on a forum I go to.

No OS or monitor, but you could just put Windows 7 on it(64-Bit) and won't need to buy one for a few months.
You can get a pretty decent 1680x1050 monitor for $100-150. The HD 5 series will be out on Tuesday, but getting one of those will put you close to or over your budget.
If you get a HD 5850, it shouldn't. A HD 5870 1GB though may put you close to your budget or slightly over it, but would be extremely worth the price.
The Kingwin PSU you mentioned has the SAME +12v amperage as your PC P&C PSU 750w.
Your paying $100 for a PSU that is lower quality and doesn't even have better AMP output then your PC P&C.
The Kingwin has a max of 720 watts on the +12v1, +12v2, +12v3 and +12v4.
The PC P&C has a SINGLE more POWERFUL +12v rail at a max of 60 Amps. 60 Amps times 12 volts = 720 watts
A Single +12v is always more preferable over multiple +12v rails, like in the Kingwin, because it provides a more stable power supply.
The P55 and X58 chipsets aren't meant for the low end user. They are meant for the low-end enthusiast and higher. The P55/i5 750 is meant to be cheaper for other users to buy, but it still costs a pretty penny.
That pretty penny is also expected to be spent on a dedicated video card.
They make 100 foot network cables...
As well as sell boxes of 1000 foot.... Though you have to add the rj-45 connectors onto the end of them and cut it yourself and stuff. Not pre-made.
