sorry, this may be a bit out of place here but i've wondered this for a while - you say it's a waste at 1440x900, but would this not mean a longer period until an upgrade would be required?

By having such a low resolution it'll be putting more work load on the CPU than the GPU. Until very intense games start coming out, don't say Crysis because it sucks, then it is a waste.
If you're gonna run games on just one monitor it seems a bit pointless getting another 2 when all you're gaining is more desktop space that you probably don't need =/markop2003
I wouldn't be running the game on one monitor. I would be running it on "one" monitor.
After I get out of Basic and finish with my MOS training I plan on getting a TrippleHead2Go Digital Edition with 3 1680x1050 monitors and putting them on my PC.
Then I'll have a nice big, wide resolution of 5040x1050.
Though, this won't be until like June or so since my Basic isn't until November.

You know multiple monitors is pretty much pointless unless you need to work with 3 things at once right? It won't give you more proper gaming (unless you just love FS) or movie space.
The TH2G comes with software that allows you to run games on it across the 'single' monitor.
What a TH2G does is that it makes your PC think you have three monitors hooked up instead of three. It's also great if you like SLI and CFX because it allows to run multiple monitors for greater DT space.
Unless you want more FPS in your games, then I really see no need to at this point in time especially since newer generation videos should becoming within the next few months.
