@regix416_basic: Lol no I didn't mean it like that. It sounds almost wrong when I say it like this, but the day and age we're in I almost feel lucky when I get a well optimized game for PC so I thought it was worth mentioning. Also, I played the game on PC using mouse and keyboard so I can't really speak for the game on Xbox or how it plays using a game pad.
I think this game should have two separate reviews. One for general consumers and one for Halo fans.
I agree with the reviewer regarding anticlimactic ending and limited strategic depth as a general consumer.
As a Halo fan I love the fact that the anti climatic ending is going to lead to Halo Wars 3 in the future. I even like the fact that the game isn't a hardcore RTS. I think Creative Assembly took the right route by creating that one different and unique product. This bet doesn't always pay off, if you remember Tom Clancy's End War you'll know what I mean. But I am sure Creative Assembly didn't put something in the market they didn't intend to from day 1. This game was supposed to be a RTS with limited strategic depth, and as an old Halo Wars player I knew exactly what I was going to get.
I really hope (Halo fans in particular) takes the time to play this game. I think Halo Wars and Halo Wars 2 is more of a fan service from Microsoft. And I am thankful that Halo Wars and Halo Wars 2 exists.
@RussianMeatClob @shingui5 I hope so. Really want to see some new IP's. I hope next gen comes with some instead on the annual Assassins Creed and COD installments...
@pentraksil @kineticman_a13 @hadlee73 Agreed. Just that I'll pick it up for PC during a Steam sale opposed to getting it right now. Hopefully there will be a few patches out by then as well, maybe iron out some of the kinks...
