The bible is such bull. It's all based on astronomy and the Sun. Get over it, the bible is pointless, religion is pointless. The religious myth is the most powerful device ever created. There is zero reality in religion.
You actually believe the world is 12,00 years old?
Bible=Astrotheological Literary Hybrid.
I love getting this topic. It happens every damn night.
Uhm, let me think. Whatever is happening, will continue happening.
Here's a few cool brain and body facts, share some of your own!
Disscuss which is real and fake, not too certain all these ones are true, but I have done a few and it does work in the past. (Brain freeze one and Speech one!!)
1. Read minds! Your own! "If you're giving a speech the next day, review it before falling asleep," says Candi Heimgartner, an instructor of biological sciences at the University of Idaho. Since most memory consolidation happens during sleep, anything you read right before bed is more likely to be encoded as long-term memory.
2. Impress your friends! Next time you're at a party, try this trick: Have a person hold one arm straight out to the side, palm down, and instruct him to maintain this position. Then place two fingers on his wrist and push down. He'll resist. Now have him put one foot on a surface that's a half inch higher (a few magazines) and repeat. This time his arm will cave like the French. By misaligning his hips, you've offset his spine, says Rachel Cosgrove, C.S.C.S., co-owner of Results Fitness, in Santa Clarita, California. Your brain senses that the spine is vulnerable, so it shuts down the body's ability to resist.
3. Thaw your brain! Too much Chipwich too fast will freeze the brains of lesser men. As for you, press your tongue flat against the roof of your mouth, covering as much as you can. "Since the nerves in the roof of your mouth get extremely cold, your body thinks your brain is freezing, too," says Abo. "In compensating, it overheats, causing an ice-cream headache." The more pressure you apply to the roof of your mouth, the faster your headache will subside.
4. Make your heart stand still! Trying to quell first-date jitters? Blow on your thumb. The vagus nerve, which governs heart rate, can be controlled through breathing, says Ben Abo, an emergency medical- services specialist at the University of Pittsburgh. It'll get your heart rate back to normal.
5. Cure your toothache without opening your mouth! Just rub ice on the back of your hand, on the V-shaped webbed area between your thumb and index finger. A Canadian study found that this technique reduces toothache pain by as much as 50 percent compared with using no ice. The nerve pathways at the base of that V stimulate an area of the brain that blocks pain signals from the face and hands.
Where is the external GPU Asus promised to come out with? I have a laptop and I really wanted it... :/
Anyone know what happened to it? Is it in stores? Can I buy it online?
[QUOTE="kingman03"]AHAHA! Look at you! Getting all worked up...[QUOTE="dgbiker1"]JTFC what's with the opening? This movie is ridiculous. I'm against organized religion, but this is just embarassing. Way too Waco/Manson/Heaven's Gate. I hate these people, they make the rest of us normal people that share the same view look crazy. Just let people believe what they want and leave them alone, this BS isn't gonna convince anyone, just drive them away.dgbiker1
Listen buddy, some people need to get a new outlook on life, a new grip on reality, not follow a myth such as religion for all of eternity. Religion is bull, the bible is bull. Look at the world! Every single damn war has some kind of religious connotation to it and it's such crap! It brings war, it brings death, it bring attacks on your homeland and forces us to attack back and be in this situation America is in today. (WWII, Korean War, DS, *Iraq...)
Why do people believe in this so called God? To have something to look forward to when they pass away? To have hope, a guide, a greater outlook on life? You don't need a God, a bible, a church who promises you hell. You don't need a Government to tell you whats right, whats wrong, what you can and cannot do, what is best for you to live a happy fulfilling life.
You have a mind controlling government, and I for one will not be controlled.
I absolutely agree on the religion part!!! And I'm not that worked up, I just write that way :) My point is that coming out with a conspiracy/cult style video isn't the way to make your point. If you ever have a chance to take an informal logic course, you'll see that this video is a textbook example of how NOT to structure an argument. From the start, they commit the logical fallacy of appealing to emotion. While he makes some good points, many quickly turn into slippery slope arguments, another logical fallacy. These fallacies and more render the facts worthless. It also makes this man sound crazy, and I'm bothered that he might be associated with my beliefs (like a normal peace-loving religious follower would not want to be associated with a violent fundamentalist). This video is no different than the religious fanatics it criticizes, and that hypocrisy is what I find irksome. Just because I support the general idea of the first part doesn't mean I'm ot gonna call him out on his BS.And speaking of fallacies, you say people don't need government or religion to tell them what's right and wrong, but in the paragraph above you're telling me that religion is wrong. Seems a bit strange huh?
Heh, religion is not completely wrong... it just causes too many problems in this world. It is not needed to bring enlightenment. You don't needit to make you choose the correct paths in life, to find out how this world works and what happens when you die. It is up to you to figure that out.You don't need to know what happens when you die, you just need to know how to live a fulfilling life, and that is up to everyone to figure out by themselves. No giant all telling false textbook, no government to show you what is the correct religion to choose, who are the enemies, who are the heros. They don't say religion is a conspiracy. They say it is a myth to give false hopes to the after life.
This is a zeitgeist era, we are trying to look back at the past (even if it is thousands of years ago) to figure out this life and seperate what is false from true.
Just like everyone else you seem to think you're right.TacticalElefantWelcome to Earth, where everyone is always right and the world is wrong.
I hate religion. I will always stay out of it. It causes WAY too many of the worlds problems.
We had it (go watch "Who Killed The Electric Car") but our stupid government detroyed the whole concept. We still have billions of dollars worth of oil yet to use to keep our country at "the top". To keep us viewed as rich world leaders.
American's love HUGE hummers and gas guzzling cars.
