@nbanic Just a question as I haven't seen said movie...but did they advertise that the audiance would have choices and that those choices would change the outcome?
It seems like most of these "gathered" quotes are people who either view games as 100% art (even though they are products) or those that didn't understand the issues with the ME ending to begin with. I could also go out and find 100 people that beleive The Pres is a communist baby eater...doesn't make it true or for that matter make them correct.
Just for laughs...what will ending a beloved series the way Bioware did in future be called? Pulling a Bioware? Pulling a Hudson? Embracing Enternity? ?
I am so against gamer entitlement syndrom that has been going around but that is not what is causeing the ME ending fires. Its more about how radically different Bioware made the last 5-10 mins of the series from what the rest of the masterful series is about. I (perhaps speak for the vast majority who have played and carried THEIR Shepard through all 3 games) felt like MY Shepard and all the choices I made, all the battles I fought, all the relationships I made in the series meant nothing in the end. Its like going to the Super Bowl just to see to fat guys in speedos (of differing colors mind you) playing chess at the 50 yard line....thats a real bad WTF moment not a good one. SPOILER:::::::::::I have no prob with the ultimate sacrifice but it felt rushed and out of place...with no closure, many confusing plot holes, the (honestly only 3) ending choices were very very similar and offered only a Sherwin Williams color palet. Do you get it now? Am I wrong or missing something?
I think this is how the ME stuff will play out....simply replace candy with money...we are Jake and Finn and Bioware is the magical man. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xATi_9seuk
The only thing i can think of that may fix this outside of a DLC that builds on the endings would be if this ending is all a setup for the next series in the ME universe.
