Also Don't forget that Nigel was accused of sabotaging a car on the Monaco Grand prix weekend. and is still accused by Ferrari of handing over the 780 page Documents on the F2007

So it seems Nigel isn't as much of an angel as you'd like to think.

Indianapolis chief executive Tony George has pledged to do everything in his power to ensure that Formula 1 returns to the legendary track after 2008.

George announced yesterday that the circuit had been unable to agree terms with Bernie Ecclestone and would not feature on next year's F1 calendar.

But he is adamant that the loss of the 2008 race does not mean the end of Indy's relationship with F1.

"Obviously, I am personally disappointed," George told a press conference.

"Eight years ago, it was our intent to host this event on an annual basis.

"While I still hold hope for the future that we'll be able to bring it back, it's tough to have a hiatus like this, and I view it as such.

"I'm going to continue to work on this to the best of my ability to try to bring it back as soon as possible."

He confirmed that it was possible that the United States Grand Prix could return as early as 2009, but said there were no guarantees yet.

"That would be my hope, but I think it would be premature to say that, having not had the conversations that need to take place that it would even be possible in 2009," George said.

"I regret the fact we won't have it for 2008, but my hope is we'll be successful in getting that back in the future.

"(The chances of a 2009 race are) probably better than the 50/50 that I thought it would be back in 2008.

"How much more? I don't know, maybe 60/40?"

George said the soon-to-be-announced 2008 MotoGP race at Indianapolis had no bearing on F1's departure.

"The decision to not have a round of the (F1) world championship here next year was considered totally independently of any consideration being given to having a motorcycle race here," he insisted.

Indianapolis had hosted the US GP since 2000, and although it saw controversies like Ferrari's bungled 'dead heat' in 2002 and the Michelin pull-out of 2005, it invariably drew the largest crowd on the calendar.

Prior tojoining forces with Indy, F1had lacked an American date for eight years following the demise of the unsuccessful Phoenix street race.

The sport continues to struggle to gain a foot-hold in the US market, and George warned that F1 would have to adopt a different strategy if and when it returns to America.

"I think the future will depend on recognising the fact that the United States is a bit different, and we're going to have to figure out how to make it work," he said.

I don't think it'll matter, The team are responsible for the drivers, so the FIA could punish them as well. unfortunatly

There was shock and disappointment in F1 circles today, with the news that photocopying prices are set to increase.

Copy shops usually review their charges at the end of the year, but a sudden shortage of A4 paper has meant a mid-season price hike, long after teams have set their annual copying budget.

Steven Smudge of 'The Copy Shop' in Bicester, who (apparently) services a number of local teams, said this morning; "The price of A4 will have to go up from 4p to 6p per sheet, this will also have a knock on effect on A3 which will rise by tuppence to 9p a copy."

Mr Smudge added, "Prices may be going up, but we do offer a discount on anything over 700 pages and discretion is our middle name.
