I'm surprised to read so many people judging you and saying you suck. Could be that you just don't have the experience that the others have. Almost everyone isn't great at something the first time they touch it. It takes time to get good at online multiplayer games.

I'm also surprised to read that these so-called great players aren't being called out for being no lifers, and instead are praised for some reason. Obsession isn't good for anyone, and becoming good because of it while being rewarded with praise sends the wrong message.

I like these new systems better, but last gen's games were much better.

Also I wanted to say that coming from gamefaq.com, this place is barren by comparison. Their boards have a lot more traffic, and plenty of people who are playing DQVII. There's even dedicated boards to games like DQVII.

I mention this because there are almost no posts in this thread.

I'm a little over 10 hours in and at first I was getting a bit concerned about the pacing. Now though, I'm actually kind of grateful for the slower speed of the game. It's not very often that a RPG really takes its sweet time to go about things like this one.

Just got Ruff a little while ago and the feeling of accomplishment is great. The characters are, in DQ tradition, fantastic. The battles are very well designed and strategic even early on. I'm in no hurry here to rush through the game either. I can easily see myself spending well over 100 hours with this game no problem.

I don't care about power. I just want it to be a handheld first.

BF1 all the way. You can't do better than Dice when it comes to pvp.
