@gamer6130: Way different ballgame surprisingly, it leans more to a mix of Onimusha and Ninja Gaiden where its more grounded but still very fast paced on a technical level with its more traditional light/heavy attack control scheme, there's definitely some Bloodborne/Souls concepts at play though, the stamina bar being the biggest one.
@bfa1509: Yes! Especially the combat system where you use X and triangle to dish out combos! Oh!! And the ability to spend samurai points on weapon skills, man that's so Demon's Souls. Oh oh!! And the ability to recover stamina at a button press, straight rip off from Demon's tsk tsk the sly foxes. And you know the worst part of it all? It even uses a color coded, generous loot-drop system, exactly like Demon's Souls!! :O
Absolute carbon copy of Demon's Soul's, unbelievable, it should have just been called Niohmon Soul's.
Meh not surprised Overwatch won. Objectively it has the works to earn it.
Its just a pity the majority bent over to the game's utterly atrocious lootbox system though, its actually worse than the real money auction house because of how subtle a rip off the whole thing is.
But eh I'm not gonna fight it because Blizzard is god, I'm a pleb, I suck, ggez4q etc.
@Tomcat2007: Yeah there are going to be a lot of hero-based games now trying to grab a piece of the dollar pie Overwatch is munching on, much like there was a ton of MOBA's before this and a ton of Call of Duty clones before it and WW2 games before and so on.
Fact is though that with all these trends we still got amazing single-player games alongside them and this upcoming one is just that; yet another trend. We're still going to get single-player experiences because they still are successful, just look at how well Final Fantasy XV and Doom are doing.
And I mean, its not like we have a whole bunch of story-based single-player games to look forward to this year, most of the upcoming PS4 exclusives are just that.
@someoneelse: Have you not noticed a pattern in the articles you usually read here?
You know those usually lame ones you see the title for and roll your eyes because you have to click on it to see the barely one sentence answer that can be put right under the title? And you end up walking away feeling completely meh because the article is just hyperlinks to other articles and quotes upon quotes?
Those are Makuch articles. Yeah the guy does essentially write news for this site but he regurgitates it so bad sometimes, its like c'mon man, the other writers here have some unique element to them that make their articles worth reading. His is just as to the book minimum effort article writing 101 you can get.
A Wolvie/Deadpool crossover film would be cool down the line though, but its understandable why its not in this one. It would just take the focus away from whats essentially the current Wolverine's big finale.
@dominoodle: Especially lately! Mafia 3 is already selling for $10 at some places, Titanfall 2 went half price like barely two weeks after release, Dishonored 2 is already slowly going the same route and hell even Infinite Warfare had massive discounts lately which is a crazy first (compared to Modern Warfare 3 which is still sitting at full price!).
I don't think its coincidental though that all of these are sequels who are under-performing, I wonder if this may shake up the AAA industry a bit to, you know, actually innovate for once.
