Quick question:
are there healers in Hellgate London? An unexpected joy of WoW has been playing my priest, a class I previously shunned since they were "just healers" but it turned out quite fun. Just wondering.

Not that I know of. Each class is basicaly a battle class. The gaurdians do get 'aura like' spells where they get bonuses on doing damage and the like. A healer tho? I would say no. Not at the realease anyways.
Mind you there will definitely be life stealing items in the game.
[QUOTE="darkfox101"]I have never experienced so many lock ups and freezes... Its just not even playable. It freezes during loading times, when i join the server, or after i take a few steps and it freezes with looping sounds over and over.. forcing me to restart. I give up, i updated everything, ran scans etc. check the forums, Im not alone and it is yet to be solved, officially a horrible engine!Selrath
Ye, When I'm trying to play Half life2I have to play on the lowest settings because else I get what you experience. Freezes with sound over and over.
I mean. Lowest settings on Half life2? Come on, With radeon x1600 series graphic card, 2gb ram, amd athlon 64 dual core +46 processor I should be able to handle highest settings.
I know it's not a good computer but it's "OK".
Same with CS:S, Can't play with too good settings there either.
I have basicaly the same setup you have with less processor power though and CS:S runs at about 100 fps on high settings, nots ultra high but high nonetheless.
ok, I just got EP1 from steam and it came with the lost coast. Since im not gunna finish EP1 tonight I decided not to even start and just check out the lost coast. Has anyone played this? I walk up to an old man (who looks pretty good graphically) and he says to destroy the machine or whatever. Then I walk up some stairs/cliff and kill some combine, but can't go any further due to the fact that the wooden stairway broke. What do I do now? start over and hope it doesn't break? oh and the water seems to kill me. thanks for suggestions.harrisi17
The lost coast is just a tech demo Valve used to show off the source engine. The whole thing is one level of several battles. There is an option to turn on audio commentary to hear what the developers have to say about the engine. Hearing those will help you finish the level and direct you where to go.
The witcher is gona be an awsome game, I cant believe its not hyped that much.LTZH
Bah, hype is overrated.
[QUOTE="GulliverJr"]I do not know if I can meet your requirement for the recency of the titles but I will pass along the titles that I know:
Baldur's Gate I and II established the now defunct Black Isle as a leading developer in the RPG genre.
A the BGI and II graphics engines were used to make Icewind Dale I and II, also two solid RPGs by Black Isle.
From those series spawned Neverwinter Nights One and Two, which fall within your need for the titles to have been released within the last 5 years. NWN defaults to playing out in something between real-time and turns, though you can tailor the autopause options to make it play like a turn-based RPG when you are in combat. Outside of combat the game pretty much always runs in real-time, except when your character detects a trap (if you have that autopause feature enabled).
Fallout One and Two were also two highly regarded RPGs, though I never played either.

Among the things I didn't like about the BG-I / II games was that they were not turn-based in the true meaning; you had to keep hitting space bar constantly to keep your character, and especially his followers, from doing idiotic stuff. I've played NWN-1 and all of its expansions. Same thing, but much easier to control (only one follower at a time). NWN2 started off with a ton of serious problems, the worst of which is named Atari, and the second worst of which is Sony's SecureROM.
Might and Magic 6, 7, and 8 were all switched (under player control) between turn-based and real time. Those were great fun; MM-9 was terrible. I never played Fallout. I have played all of the Elder Scrolls games. I have played all of SSI's Gold Box TSR Rules (pre WoWC changes) AD&D games, and all of the Wizardry games.
I do beleive in the options menu for BG you could have it so the game paused automaticaly after every turn.
