Because it won't, in 2 years we will have parts that are much faster and you'll be better off upgrading to that. If you have an Athlon 64 or a P4 would you upgrade today? No, you can have a Core 2 Duo on the cheap with a new mobo that supports PCI-E 2.0 and a new video card. X360PS3AMD05

good point, but he wants a super machine and he's willing to pay 2000$...it's his choice

By the way, I have a 4 years old P4 like you said but its a dell crap and I can't upgrade...so I plan on getting a new rig in june but I will get a core i7 and a 1366 socket mobo which IMO will be the right choice at that time...but for now you'r probably right

[QUOTE="jmnderson69"]Damn man, I get the feeling you guys enjoy making others piss money down the drain.X360PS3AMD05
I agree, i tell people to get bang for the buck but most people here will tell them to blow their money on small performance gains.

Those parts were intended for future requirements, why building a computer to maxout games right now if you can built one a few bucks more that will max out games in 2 years...

Sam-Fisher got the one I think will be the best choice (Tritton AX Pro) this headset can be use for PC, XBOX360 and PS3 if you have many platforms and I looked for reviews and they are awesome.

By the way, like you, I was looking for good PC 5,1 gaming headset for the last 3 months and I found this one to be probably the best on the market right now...I will order one soon

I'm thinking about getting an asus P6T motherboard for my new rig with a creative XF-I Titanium sound card...since asus already make sound cards (xonar) am I leaning towards compatibility problems with this set-up??? Anyone using asus mobos with creative sound cards without problems??

Thanks

What about old games (Doom 3, GTA, COD..etc)...I've read there are compatible issues on vista 64 that are not on the 32 bit version...is it true?

Can't you get the X-Fi Titanium PCI-E? I think it's the same price and the Xtreme Gamer has issues with Vista but there isn't this issues with the new Titanium series. The Xonar doesn't have real EAX 5.0 but supposedly support that through emulation.

Sordidus

Sweet thanks for the info...yes I can get it for 10$ cheaper than the xtreme gamer but at first I did not know this card was good for gaming

Hi,

I'm about to finish getting all the parts for my new computer and I just can't figured out which sound card should I get. The choice is between: Creative sound blaster X-Fi xtreme gamer -and- Asusu xonar DX...so can you tell me which one would be the best choice (and why) for pure gaming on vista and with Turtle Beach Ear Force HPA2 5.1 Surround Sound Headphones.

Thanks a lot
