Some of you may remember a post over a year ago where I thought I was almost done with the game Dungeon siege.
Well, I saved king herpaderp... but he wanted me to retrieve treasure from his vault.
So I got the treasure... but it turns out there's a hole in the wall that basically leads into hell.
So I went into hell. Turns out that lead into a flaming ruin. (NOTE: at this point I quit for over 6 months because the story was soooo far out stretched and terrible that I couldn't stand how rediculous it was anymore,)
I finally sat down today and swore on my soul I was going to beat it. So I went through hell again, beat the flaming ruins...
And found out they lead in random rock formations.
So I went through the random rock formations, thinking it was the last level anddd...
It lead to another area. Surprise! But I swore I would beat it. So I struggled on, with my inventory overflowing and the last merchant being over 20 minutes back. Finally I came to a throne room, and after a confusing, unispired monolouge by the final boss (that lasted almost 2 and a half minutes) we began fighting. I litterally killed him in less than a minute. I thought the game was ending, but...
SURPRISE!!! It's STILL not over! BOSS SECOND FORM! Of course!
After a 5 minute battle (which made me drink a whole 5/110 potions.) The boss actually died. And I couldn't believe it. The screen faded out. I was watching an ending!!! HOLY FRICK!!!! After 3 and a half hours of going through a storyless, senseless, bs level gas powered games created to lengthen their game, IT WAS FINALLY OVER!
If you ever develop a game: please please PLEASE don't sacrifice story just so you can make it longer. I beg of you.
