Most people treat the PlayStation Portable like it's utter garbage and a complete failure, neither of which is true. It's not selling like the DS, but that's beside the point.

The PSP managed to do what no other company has been able to: they broke into the handheld market, something Nintendo has always owned. They broke into it and are actually being quite successful. While the sales aren't anything compared to the DS, the PSP was able to wrestle away a small portion of the handheld market from Nintendo.

Just because the PSP isn't selling quite as well as the DS doesn't make it bad. It deserves some credit for actually being able to get in on the handheld market, something no one else has done successfully.

Because DS fanboys are attracted to the PSP like bugs to a light, then they whine and scream so that anything positive about the PSP can't be heard. Even a group of only 2 DS fanboys can produce an outcome like this.

Steer clear of them, it's not worth the argument. Seriously, the biggest point I've ever heard one say is "Look at the sales". When you point out the sales are fine and there are plenty of good games, they don't talk anymore. They must think that you are going to forget about it.

Oh and BTW, just for my personal self, I usually don't include PC with these things as exclusives. I don't EVER buy games on a PC that came out first on a console...it never feels right. And the only games I really play on PC are RTS and Half-Life 1/2 Mods (CS)

Bebi_vegeta

Agree. PC is crap

What's up with that?

He isn't saying games made for PC specifically are crap, I'm sure. Who can argue with the beauty that is Half-Life2?

I believe he means games originally on a console ported to PC, like I was saying, are crap.

Which game do you like more.

FInal Fantasy or Halo.

If you can answer that question then you have your choice.

pimperjones

Neither, really. But I'm thinking with PS2's cheap library on PS3 as well, it is worth me buying. I sold my PS2 before I got to play God of War and such...

Bioshock is also on the PC (and in my opinion will also make its way over to the PS3 several months after 360 release much like Oblivion.)

However, Mass Effect is a big exclusive that has an enormous likelihood of being a superb game, and I believe that's exclusive to the 360.

Guess you could just swap those two out.

Bill_McBlumpkin

Thanks, I'll look at that game.

Here's the games I'm interested in on both systems plus features I like. (Some of the game exclusives may be multiplatform -- I'm not in the complete flow with news, old or new, of games becoming multiplat)

*Note: I do not have either and this is my list in trying to determine which to buy. I would greatly appreciate feedback on this. Some personal oppinions?

360 Exclusives:

Halo 3
Gears of War
Forza
Dead Rising
Bioshock (multi?)

PS3:

Socom
Motorstorm
Gran Turismo
Metal Gear Solid
God of War
Ratchet & Clank
Devil May Cry

360 Pros:

Good online community
Cheaper than PS3
Nice backing of games
-XBConnect - Free Online

360 Cons:

Not reliable (fixing problem?)
Need to pay for online (I'd probably use XBConnect => http://www.xbconnect.com/ )
-XBConnect - Not a very large community

PS3 Pros:

Cell processor (post a fanboy rant --)
Connects w/ PSP (I would utilize this)
Harddrive is standard and can be upgraded
Free Online

PS3 Cons:

EXPENSIVE
No rumble
EXPENSIVE
Controllers feels light and cheap + No removeable battery (I'm way too used to DualShock)

Tell me what you think?

How could you possibly enjoy a handheld without Pokemon? It makes no rational sense. When I look at D/P and see that the PSP has nothing of the caliber, I can't understand how poeple can endure the torture.

See,we can allj oin in!

rengouku was pretty badzero030

you thought Rengoku was bad? Honestly, I don't think it deserved anything great, but it wasn't as bad as people said. Pretty neat idea they had going...just got really reallllyy boring after about the third level.
