Dude, Fallout runs on a modified version of the Oblivion engine. Maybe those modifications are the cause of the SLIGHT differences.

ACtually you shouldnt bother answering people.The word SLIGHT wont get through their skull ! The only thing that gets to them is BETTER/Compares poorly :lol:.This is SW.

The BDRom drive in the PS3 does not have a faster transfer rate, that is precisely why a game originally on the 360 that is ported over to the PS3 often needs a mandatory install on the PS3 to cut down on loading screens.

The problem is often large amounts of data are stored on the BD ROM disc and coupled with a 2X BDRom drive mandatory installs are necessary to cut down on loading times.

this is just a usual misconception.The DVD doesnt have a fixed transfer rate at all.Sometimes it drops below 2x BDrom drive speeds and some times goes higher....BDrom on the other hand has a fixed transfer rate giving it an equal or even faster (DVD9 cases) average transfer rate.

The hard drive is an extra addition.There are games on PS3(including MANY ports) aswell which do not require any installation AT ALL.

And that came out how long after the 360 version?

That doesnt really matter much.We have seen games which come out nearly a year later and were still worse on the PS3.TAke for example the Bioshock.All i am trying to say is that the faster transfer rates of BD and availability of Hard Drives on every models for the PS3 should be the first things to help alot.

Apart from that the raw processing power of Cell should come in handy along with the RSX.

My point is that in the end it ALL depends on the devs...if they want to make a better port they CAN but its a matter of their opinion NOT ours.So i guess just chill n enjoy ;) The differences are barely noticeable though.

So you'll be avoiding R2 and KZ2 then ?

Cant say much about KZ2 because all we have seen so far are PRE ALPHA (FAR FROM COMPLETE) footages.But Resistance 2 seems VERY VERY colourfull with all the new enviroments they added especially the forest one,its an ignorant thing to say that it uses THREE colours :D.

I know what all 3 games look like, my point was he was calling it a 3 color game based on 1 screenshot, when you know perfectly well that there's R2 and KZ2 screenies galore out there that dont appear any different, and there's also Gears2 shots out there with lots of color in them.

I wasnt putting down any games that i listed, i was pointing out a flawed arguement. And to tell the truth i'm looking forward to KZ2 alot more than Gears2 or R2.

So you think KZ2 will suddenly add rainbows and super bright colour before it's done? Also, there is an online Beta of the game already, and if you think the graphics engine is "FAR FROM COMPLETE" then you are mistaken.

Well the game is far from being released and gameplay(singleplayers) footages are mostly pre alpha/beta footages.I would wait for the final quality and than start comparing it with others.

the outside levles have much more colors

meh...cant bet on that.Gears 1 had all the same rumors in the end came out to be a dull grayish game even at maxed out settings on my PC.Maybe its the setting of Gears but they really need to imrpove on that this time.

It didn't bother me :D

What did was that in the first gears were the character models, man they were ugly...(at high res and max settings on my pc as well) Also it got kinda repetitive, shoot cover shoot cover shoot and then what? shoot, ooo a brumak, what now? shoot cover shoot amo :P

lol that is very true...when i right clicked and aimed(already frustrated by the graphics LEMS claimed) even at 1440x900 the ear of Marcus made me laugh :lol:.....And it was basically just cover and shoot...again and again...i think its over rated.

lol, you always blind hate with no knowledge. but to correct you, killzone uses a form of RAY TRACING, for the games lighting effects, it isn't FULL ray tracing, but a part of it..its very impressive and the game shows it. THe cell has the ability to handle it. Do some research.



You wont correct me with something wrong,KZ2 engine is all about post processing effects there isnt a single amount of raytracing,even the PDF file says all the redering techniques..

Actually a cell can ray trace with optimization better than most high end nvidia cards.It has been confirmed already !

not sure but if i remember correctly, true/full ray-tracing cannot really be achieved with current technology... maybe partial ray-tracing and cell may render ray-tracing but probably multiple processors can generate that not a single Cell processor the one in our PS3...

not sure though cause cant remember properly what the article said...
