ok so i just played a bunch of unreleased games at best buys gaming invasion.
the game i had the most pure unadulterated fun with was LBP, its an awesome game as most of you know.
gears 2 horde mode was awesome in every sense of the word, extremely well put together, and the graphics are better than gears 1. umm gears...only real glaring difference between it and its predecessor is that you run alot slower (aside from all the new weapons, and such) cover works much better.
resistance 2, was basically the same as the first, not necessarily a bad thing...but i found it pretty much the same...(only played for about 15 minutes, campaign)
mirrors edge was.......fun...but i didnt play enough to get a sense of the full game.....its pretty much just run-jump run-jump punch repeat. looked great! (played on PS3)
farcry 2 was the most dissapointing game there.....the visuals were horrid. frame rate dropped consistantly, and there were a bunch of bugs...not sure if this was the final build....but it was almost broken. (played on xbox 360)
motorstorm 2 was really fun. thats all there is to say really. race, crash laugh.
any questions? keeping in mind i played each of these for only 15-20 minutes.

Okay, so they didn't include any HD cables with the PS3. An HDMI cable only runs a few bucks, so I was fine with that.No headset? That's fine, I already own my own Bluetooth piece (I'm hip like that).
Now for the controller... It hasn't even been a year since I bought my PS3 and the left thumbstick already busted. Meanwhile, the DualShock 2 I've had for 7 years is going strong without ANY problems. The funny part is that I barely played my PS3.
Here's the kicker though. I can't open it the controller up and fix it myself because the screws are just too stubborn. I guess Sony wants me to buy another controller. GREAT JOB!

hmm maybe yours used in a different way.I am using mine with not much problem and i personally like this DS2 more than DS3 because of the light weight.But the vibration is awesome feature of DS3.
We've lost many many exclusives and got nothing in return. You say why not let the others enjoy great games on other consoles? I agree, but this needs to be applied for everybody not just for the other console gamers. We gained nothing from giving away our exclusives but they gained ALOT. Don't start with the 1st party and 3rd party discussion because that's BS. What did we get in exchange with a game like Final Fantasy?? nothing. The only PERFECT exclusive that remained on the PS3 and that was one of the main contributors in the success of the PLAYSTATION family ever since it was introduced to the gaming world and brought stealth to the gaming industry back in 1998 is "Metal Gear Solid". Bungie is considering developing games for the PS3 but can't bring Halo because "Halo" and "Master Chief" are trademarks that Microsoft owns. I say it's about time that Sony transforms "Metal Gear Solid" from a 3rd party game to one of their first party games and OWN the trademarks of "Metal Gear Solid" and "Solid Snake"(if needed). Either buy Kojima Productions or keep your damn exclusives. You want to give them away, give us something in return! ok? samourai_v87
Yes completely agreed.I bought my PS3 for MGS and bought my 360 for Halo.These two games are not just games ANYMORE.They are a PART OF CONSOLES.Like a controller or any other hardware/software of console.They should not be ported.We already lost icons like Final Fantasy and Devil may cry.
lol TC are you kiddin me ? We all know that most awesome exclusives of 2008 were WAY under rated.Example Uncharted,Wipeout HD,Resistance...etc...etc...and just think about whats to come !
