[QUOTE="lesner87"]Sales always fluctuate and thats bussiness.People at sony know ALOT better than us.mattbbpl
They're better businessmen than we are, sure, but they need to be better businessmen than the leaders of MS and Nintendo.
Plus, it seems as if the Playstation market share isn't their primary goal this generation, but Blu-Ray establishment is. It seems they've sacrificed some Playstation advantages in order to ensure that happens.
All I'm saying is that if the PS3 is going to surpass the PS2s success something needs to change. And that something needs to be more impactful than whatever MS and Nintendo will do on their end. Staying the course is not going to work.
Yes i get your point.Again we have alot of way to go.PS3 isnt even 2 years in its life time.Blu ray was added to take control of another war (format war). They have armed the soldiers with weapons now all they need to do is provide them with bullets, which will be the easiest task :).
About sales.PS3 cant sky rocket all of a sudden.Sony always earns more in the long term. The PS3 and PS2 weekly sales are almost equal.Which year of PS2s life is it ? 8 ? And yet its right next to the PS3,a next gen console(in terms of sales).Sony has a great repo for fullfilling their long term promises(evidence is PS1 and PS2).Just wondering have you seen the original xbox around lately ? Or what was the other one called ? I think the game cube ?
