OK guys put it this way way my hdtv is 720p/1080i max so SHould I still go out and buy hmdi or just stick with componet?skullgangs

Buy HDMI once and for all because it will give your sound upto 7.1 sorround aswell.And if you get a good tv(in the future maybe)supporting 1080p,you can just use the same cable rather than purchasing a new one.Dont make the same mistake as me ! I bought component for nothing its lying around some where i dont even know.

I use a HDMI to DVI cable with a PC LCD monitor. If you go to display settings, you can set the RGB settings to FULL and the Superwhite to ON, and it will make a massive difference to the contrast and dynamic range of brightness and black will look much darker, richness of colours improved etc.all my games looked greyish and had a lack of contrast before but now they all look amazing. Someone pointed out (youtube assassins creed comparison) that a lot of graphics comparison videos and photos were done without those settings set on, therefore the xbox 360 version looked better in a lot of game sites... if you set the settings I said, the ps3 version will have just as good if not better contrast and colour. blueblur87

Well creation games are mostly good for first few hours and then get boring because people mostly dont want to create anymore they want to play

Valve went from PS3 is crap, to PS3 is ok, to once we have enough resources will create games for PS3... next we'll have Valve stating how PS3 is a great console...

everyone noticed that Valve's opinion on PS3 keeps getting better while the install base is getting larger (for PS3)....
