@Yams1980: The survey didn't say that either.

@BrianMX34: Okay, so again, you are still saying you think it is "non-applicable" and does not represent the overall population of the USA (not the "overall population of gamers", which it was never meant to represent) because the results aren't what you expected. Again, you haven't changed that. I don't know why you're still trying to dance around the issue and pretend you're saying anything relevant.

@BrianMX34: Great, yes, a random sample isn't incorrect if you aren't looking for a random sample, thank you for the pointless information. It is clear that in this case they were going for a random sample, and have presented it as though they had a random sample, it which case it would be incorrect if they failed to have a random sample.

Again, you are saying that the sample was not random (although you have changed from "no way this was a random sample" to "highly unlikely") based on the fact that it does not match your expected outcome. To that, I respond:

""There's no way they did this correctly, because the results aren't what I expect."

Science wept."

Nothing you have said in response changes that.

@harlemstruggle: Yeah, I've never once seen a woman show up while I was playing through Assassin's Creed or Fallout.

@BrianMX34: "There's no way this was a random sample" "I said that it was unlikely that it was a random sample"

I'm sure your statistics professor was good at figuring out when students made a mistake. I am also sure that you said, in no uncertain terms, that they did not use a random sample, and thus did the survey incorrectly.

How can "mobile games" count as games? It doesn't even have "game" in the name.

@Thanatos2k: What exactly is the flaw in the headline?

@leandrombraz: They included people without games on their phone too. They included a lot of people; the point wasn't to talk to gamers, it was to talk to everyone to find out their views.

@larsinii: They didn't say playing Candy Crush makes someone a "gamer".
