The thing that keeps me away from PC gaming isn't the cost or the complication, as I know it isn't as costly as most believe and I am perfectly capable of building and maintaining a gaming PC, it's that I can't rent games. I don't want to buy ever game I want to play. Most games aren't even worth buying as I can beat them in a few days and I'm not that into multiplayer. It's that simple, if I could rent games for the PC, I would be totally into it.

MS will most certainly use blu-ray. They might start experimenting with DD games but they will use blu-ray. And to say they won't because they will have to pay Sony is naive. For one, Sony is just one of many companies involved in blu-ray. For two, MS and Sony are not "at war" with eachother, MS doesn't care that Sony is involved with blu-ray. Only one division of both corporations even compete in the same market, that being the console market. If MS doesn't use blu-ray in their next console it will hurt their market share and help sony's console market share. That's all they care about when it comes to Sony - video game consoles. MS couldn't care less about "paying Sony" to use blu-ray.

Well, i think i got hosed then. I listen to this guy and he said " if you get 120hz, you need the monster 1000" So the frame rate can catch up. Sounded good at the time. So i got a smaller t.v. so i could get the 1000 wire. It just hurts to hear that a $259.00 wire , really does the same thing a $50 wire can do. Is there anything i can do to take it back? It's a little old (49 days) ...................Does anyone know if you can still take them back. I'm in canada and bought them at future shop (like the best buy, of canada)i-POOP-outside
$259?!?! $50?!?! Good lord man! You got utterly ripped off. Go to amazon and get one for $00.50 and it will work just as good. Well...okay....it might be like $4 with shipping. Seriously though, $259 for an hdmi cable? That's just completely insane. If you can, return the cable and the television and go somewhere else to do your business. The salesman lied through his teeth if he told you you needed a $259 cable, let alone a $50 cable. Go somewhere else and spend that extra $258 on a better tv.

Seeing as how I can't even stream the video off their website without pushing pause numerous times, I don't think I have the internet speed to do this. And I won't be able to do anything to upgrade the quality, I'll be waiting on my service provider to actually offer me fast internet where I live. But it's obvious something like this was going to happen, I just don't think most people have the speed to do it. And with service providers charging high rates for good speed and capping bandwith, I don't see it working for a while. But it is the future and I've always thought that the progress of our technology will eventually come down to how fast, reliable, available, inexpensive and mobile our internet becomes.

Well, Arcade models don't come with a harddrive. Sounds like it's a pro model with a 20 gig hdd and the additional space was used by those demos you said were on it. Is the DVD drive silver or white? Pro models have a silver front to the DVD and the Arcades are just white like the rest of the console. As for the movie that played when you started up the console, that happens when you first bootup the NXE (the new dashboard version).

Mine is getting the achievement for 100% on expert guitar, bass and drums for rock band 2. I guess they are more of a 'most proud of' achievement though. I never thought I'd be able to complete anythign on expert in rb 2 or gh, let alone 100% anything. Took a lot of practice.

It's lowest difficulty. So you could have an entire band play on expert but one guy on medium/hard and it would only count as medium/hard.
