I have YDL6 installed on my recently added 320GB drive. It's pretty cool and all but I can honestly say that I've probably only booted it once or twice since I installed it. The biggest let down for linux on the PS3 is the fact that Sony has locked out access to the 3D graphics accelerator. I can understand why they did this for security and all but it greatly limits the capabilities of having linux on the PS3.

FFVII without a doubt! It was the place setter for future games to compete against. FFVIII was a GREAT game (don't get me wrong ;)) but I seriously got annoyed by being forced to draw magic from enemies.

What was your first game?

Pac-Man

What was your first gaming system?

Atari & Intellivision

What was that one special game (If any) that kept you true to gaming?

No game had a greater influence on me than FFVII on PSX

What about your early gaming days kept you a gamer till this day?

All the memories of playing games with friends and family.

I'd have absolutely NO problems with MGS4 receiving game of the year for PS3. I think there were quite a bit of good games that got released this year but MGS4 carved itself a special little place in my soul. It's definitely one of the best games I've ever played. Attention to detail just exploded all over that game.... Thank you pimp-daddy Kojima!

Pretty cool idea none the less. I think I'd still prefer reading messages on my ps3 but I could see this becoming a reality for sure.

If I change HDD's can I redownload stuff for free again?PainGivingLink

it's free to download up to 5 times.  after that you would need to buy it again.

I've downloaded the Warhawk demo, and Haze demo. (I didn't find Haze that bad to be honest, maybe because its only a demo but yeah...) anyways back on track, I started downloading the Alone in the Dark demo, and I don't want it to download anymore. I've stopped it from further downloading, but is there any possible way I can remove it from the active download list? I have Warhawk, Haze, and SmackDown! vs. RAW 2009 (currently downloading) and my Alone in the Dark demo is just there, and there's no way to remove it. Even though its not downloading, I don't want it there. Anyway to remove it?

Also, I have another question not pertaining to active downloads but somewhat relative. Can I purchase a USB flash drive, and save demo's, trailers and game installs on it? I probably will buy a bigger laptop drive in the future (160GB) but, for now I really don't feel like spending alot so will a USB flash drive be able to hold some of that data?

Also another question, when I change my HDD what happens to all my old stuff that I want to keep. Do I have to redownload everything? How about my game saves, is it possible to save it on another storage device, and then transfer the data onto the new HDD?

Last question, I might pick up MGS4 tonight and I'm just wondering...does it have trophy support? I also heard that starting January all new games on the Playstation 3 must support trophies, if thats true that will be great. So does Resistance 2, and LittleBigPlanet have trophies?

Thank you.

since nobody else replied...

to delete the download select it by pressing the triangle button and there should be a delete option

yes you can purchase a usb flash drive and transfer SOME things.  you can transfer video, photo, music, and game saves.  you cannot transfer game installs or demos, etc.

if you change your HDD you lose everything and need to download it again unless you back it up manually to an external device.  You can also use the PS3 backup/recovery utility.

MGS4 does not support trophies and it is doubtful that we will ever get trophies for this game.  LBP and R2 both support trophies.

choose the quick game option to randomly play a map and possibly join someone else.
