I remember that the PS3 had terrible sales in its early years of life. I remember the 360 being number 1 for a long time... This not taking into account that the Wii was a hot item... and the only reason the Wii U is a thing is because of over saturation.
But yeah. I don't think the PS3 ever caught up to the 360 in sales.
They're moving on because no one is playing it. They messed up. They tried to make it like the original... and didn't understand that we wanted Gauntlet Legends.
The guy in the video has it right. "I suspect that people who are going to enjoy this the most are hardcore battlefield fans."
Well... DICE wasn't charged with making a battlefield close with a star wars skin. They were charged with bringing star wars battlefront to a new generation. What we got left with was Generic Shooter 001 with Star Wars Skin. No single player... Which is something that Battlefront is famous for. No Galactic Conquest... Because why lovingly build something when you can throw together a game you already made with star wars graphics?
I bet that Disney is going to look at the sales of this game... and give the rights to make star wars games to someone else.
@seven7swords: Aside from the bugs, the game is actually what they advertised... I think.
A "return to roots" skating game. I don't know about you, but Tony Hawk games were a little boring. They only ever really took off when they gave us all a story.
@eloguvna: Must we forget the reputation that Bungie had before all of this? They are gamers, too. They know how it is... What you want really want to do is blame the corporate big wigs if this micro-transaction thing gets out of hand. This is how these things usually come about... Game developers are gamers, too. They love the same entertainment medium as us... That's probably why they're game developers.
Though I could see them expanding it to shaders. Possibly even emblems and ships.
@metroatlas: For optional dances? Really? There are a lot of other things to be angry about... Perhaps you just don't like Destiny. This is fine. Bitching about it every other article is just making you look like you really do care, and that you play it.
I do not care about Call of duty. Do you see me posting on articles that are about the series? Do you see me bitching about them?
No. I disregard them and move on with my life.
It's like this.
A girl breaks up with you. You, then, spend the next 6 months griping and bitching about it, showing that girl that you are STILL really broken over it.
When, instead, you could remain aloof of the whole situation and she looks at you like "what am I doing wrong?"
This is you. The jilted person of the relationship. You can't let go, and refuse to let go. Showing us all how much you really care.
