I've never played Shenmue. So I can't speak as a fan.

I can, on the other hand, speak as someone who has seen many kickstarters rise and then fail to deliver. A good indication of someone trying to scam you is them saying they'd like a bit more money...

That, or I doubt it'll live up to the hype.

I buy a disc. That disc is MY legal property. This should allow me to put it on any computer I decide, Or hack it anyway I please. It should NOT decide that I need to download a shitty game client to, then, download the freaking game. This is not what I paid for.
