In august, im undergoing a medical procedure that sorta scares me, and my parents, lucky me, are deciding to console me, literally, with a Playstation 3 console. Im getting the 80 gig model, and I was wondering if anyone could recommend 1 to 4 good games to get started with in my first few months as a ps3 owner. If the games involve these following genres even better, and recommending pre orders for not yet released games is fine too. My favorite genres are:
thanks for all the help, but even if xbox failure rate goes down to being as low as the ps3, i still want a ps3 because im a fan of all of sony's franchises like gow and mgs. i just needed to know if ps3 had an equal or higher failure rate than 360
normally i would say no, but considering the incredible tech of both the 360 and ps3, i don't think an update could soon be made that would be significant enough to make a new console around. So in this case, yes.
The PS3 is destroying the other console ( i only count a 360 as its direct competitor). In comparison to the 360 it has had and is due to have double the exclsusives of the PS3, those of which already released having been incredible (MGS4), and it has great multiplat games like Battlefield Bad Company, Burnout Paradise, OBlivion, GTA 4, and Bioshock.
I know people will laugh, but I want a PS3 over a 360, mainly because of God of War 3 and the 360 notorious red ring of death. I want to know: does the PS3 have any major flaw like the red ring of death that I should be aware of, or is the 360 still the less reliable console? Please tell the truth and not attempt to prompt me into buying a 360 falsely.
