No, because at the end of the day I cannot dictate or control how someone feels about how this country should be run and I am graced with the maturity to realized that.

I was a hardcore cheerleader for the democratic party until I moved to a big city and found out that democrats hate Hispanics and homosexuals as much as the rural south. After that I became someone who wants to burn both parties to the ground, and rebuild something useful out of the ashes.

Yeah I was a "college know it all" liberal, which was easy I mean George W. Bush was president during my college career.

But as I've grown older, I've mellowed out, realized both sides are just terrible. It's not so much an ideological shift as it is the slow erosion of my principles, beliefs, and thoughts into a gently sloping hill of apathy.

Agreed. The two party system needs to leave. We as Americans need to allow for the libertarian, green party, socialist and communist parties to take their place in US politics to foster a healthy balance of creative grassroots/populist based ideas.

Some days I am a socialist and others libertarian. I guess it really depends on the situation and I can't be narrowed down to one specific ideology. I think I'm turning into a rational centrist.

Why Kennedy? Probably the most overrated politician of the 21st century besides Bill Clinton. Coincidentally both are scumbags as human beings, too.

I vote current Jimmy Carter.

Jimmy Carter;

1. Economy tanked in late 70s.

2. Iran was a disaster.

3. Gave away the Panama Canal

4. Secretly armed Islamic forces to fight the USSR: Original creator of the Taliban.

5. Failed energy policy.

Also how in the world do you have the audacity to imply Jimmy Carter is better than Camelot in terms of sheer competency?

And you call yourself "progressive." shameful indeed.

Extreme right to extreme left.

And by extreme right I mean libertarian-right not facist-right.

What made you switch from total freedom to bigger Government?

Hmm.....maybe you should look up what treason actually means before throwing it around.

Fair enough.

So your saying Trump has committed Treason because he wants to enact change?

Well Trump is a hypocrite in that he is a progressive as well. Never denied that.

For example, you're a Republican who's been a former Democrat or a Democrat who's been a former Republican? Why did you change?

He has a point. I mean the US was founded on libertarian principles of self government. Progressive ideology is treasonous and unamerican to its core; However, the president shouldn't be saying that.

Also whats wrong with that statement? Most leftists (true ones anyways) will be the first to admit that. And even then why would you want to be affiliated with historical American ideology if you're an advocate of the redistribution of wealth?
