Well I know you do not see a Ps3 in any of these pics but one is coming in the near future! =] Tell me what you think please rate them both seperately... Oh yeah, I am 14 and i bought the stuff in the second setup all by myself =p..

I have the exact same speakers and subwoofer!  Did you get them during Black Friday 2006 at Best Buy?  You need to hook up a PS3 to your Yamaha HDMI receiver so you can get uncompressed audio which sounds incredible.

Kingdom of Heaven is a good reference disk for audio and video.  It's exciting to think that the audio can actually get better!  With the PS3 and HDMI what your hearing is DTS-HD,  but after the march update we'll be getting DTS-HD Master Audio which sounds even better.

DTS-HD is lossy audio.
DTS-HD Master Audio is lossless

Ouch , what type of tv is that? Must of been a great deal somewhere.

It's an HDTV.

I meant the brand. Budget LCDs are always big no-nos if you want any kind of PQ.

The PS3 could easily upscaled DVDs.

If it's so easy,  why doesn't it out of the box?

Do I need to use HDMI to view movies on my PS3 or can I use component cables instead and still get HD? I have an older Panasonic HDTV and it only supports 720P and doesn't have HDMI.

Component works for HD

I dont understand how someone could spend all that money on a decent set up, and not spend the time to keep it clean and uncluddered. Whats with all the wires showing. My eyes hurt.
