[QUOTE="m3Boarder32"][QUOTE="Cranler"] Many steam users are CS, CSS and TF 2 only players. Old console games die while old pc games live on. Most people who play current gen games ar 1080p. Cranler

Prove it

Look at all the low req games near the top. Common sense dictates that those playing old games are using older hardware and those playing newer games are using newer hardware which includes hig res monitors.

That's not proof, try again

[QUOTE="ZIMdoom"]

[QUOTE="AmazonTreeBoa"] Wireless keyboard and mouse on the coffee table as I sit on the couch hooked to my TV=I can play ANY PC game on the couch without issue.AmazonTreeBoa

Why would I want to move all my PC crap from room to room just to play a game for a few seconds? And no, I certainly wouldn't want to be sitting on a couch with a keyboard and mouse in my lap trying to play SC2. I'd rather just leave it on my desk in a separate room, hooked up to the monitor and internet in that room and play games on a smaller, simpler and much more conveniently/portable console.

Do you have trouble understanding wtf you read? Sure seems like it based off your reply. Let me say it again, only slower. You...........can.......sit.......the.........keyboard........and.......mouse.......on......the........coffee.......table. There, did you see it and understand it that time? And your personal issues (having systems in different rooms) is irrelevant. Doesn't change the fact that it can be done. My PC sits in my living room right along with my PS3 and TV.

No offense but your PC in your living room probably looks hideous

[QUOTE="MonsieurX"]inb4 m3boarder32 derailing the thread with his plasma. 500$ gpu for 1000$ monitor,meh.GoldenElementXL

lol it's funny because it's true :lol:

m3boarder32 and his alts end up ruining every discussion. He is like a system wars virus. I'm surprised he hasn't said " his" plasma will make ps4 games look better than any PC 4K game because "resolution is only the 4th most important factor in image quality." He already claimed "his" Plasma/PS4 beats my 1440p/GTX 690

All truth, thanks for saying it for me

Nope

1080p is the most common resolution.

Cranler
Just because 1080p is the most commom resolution doesn't mean that most gamers arent using resolutions below 1080p.

Many steam users are CS, CSS and TF 2 only players. Old console games die while old pc games live on. Most people who play current gen games ar 1080p.

Good point. If Laptops are included in the poll, then the rendering resolution average will skew towards lower resolutions because resolutions on laptops are typically lower than on monitors/plasmas/projectors/lcdtv/toilet

trugs26

Yes,that's why people are trying to claim ownage with the steam polls. But they do include laptops,so tons of people install Steam on their crappy laptop,average gets lowered.

 Why does it matter if laptops are included or not?

Suddenly PC gamers who use laptops instead of desktops aren't gamers.. But we know it's just damage control..

[QUOTE="hippiesanta"]and yet ... PC gamers still have to face a smaller screen on their office desk... sob sob sobthe_bi99man

Have to?  The entire point of PC gaming is that we have choices, and can game however the hell we want. Didn't you get the memo?

[QUOTE="SNIPER4321"][QUOTE="m3Boarder32"] only if you like easy arcade shooter. or never played PC version.
[QUOTE="AdrianWerner"]

Because tactical shooters (which PC GRAW was) are less popular than arcade shooters (which 360 GRAW was).

What's more.PC GRAW was rought around the edges. I also prefered it, but it wasn't anywhere near as polished as console GRAW was.

AcidSoldner
While GRAW on the 360 was a departure from earlier titles in series, especially on PC, calling it an "arcade" shooter is absurd. It's still a tactical shooter through and through especially when compared to more contemporary shooters both then and now.

PC version played like and feel like Ghost recon. unlike console version which was third person shooter with cover system.

9.2 > 7.8 It even had the "Best Tag" before they got rid of that

I'll probably be going for a 120hz or 4k display in a couple years, but I don't know which.

kalipekona
Same here, probably OLED and around 85"

[QUOTE="m3Boarder32"][QUOTE="Blackbond"]

Where 20"+ 1080P displays are an every day common occurance

Blackbond

Yet the average steam gamer games at less than 1080p

And even if that was true wtf 16" screen are available to buy you moron. You can have 1080P displays set lower :roll:

I never said anything about screen size, but anything below 23" is absolute garbage obviously
