[QUOTE="Evo_nine"][QUOTE="Blackbond"]

Someone should slap your mom for that dumb ass comment. Tell me that comment was trolling and you really aren't that stupid and misinformed.

Blackbond

Dont tell the industry already progressed to 16'? what an age we live in.

Where 20"+ 1080P displays are an every day common occurance

Yet the average steam gamer games at less than 1080p

[QUOTE="Tessellation"] For a second i thought that you got banned,but i said why would he? apparently SW will be no more or some massive change is coming to this board :lol:Tessellation

Nah, not banned, if I were, probably wouldn't be advertising myself in the sig! :P

And yeah, should be a big change here in a few weeks, we'll still have the usual boards, SW, OT, etc, but the site is getting redesigned. It'll be based on Giant Bomb layout and sadly, it looks like shit, but as long as there's good posters around, I'll adapt... somehow...

i never was a forum guy,i used to post at www.systemwars.com but mostly because i was a moderator there but after i left gamespot was the only forum that got me into posting,but saddly is going to GB way which it disgust me,i hope they bring the old rules back.

What was your name at Systemwars.com?

[QUOTE="Kinthalis"]

[QUOTE="Spartan070"] There was a mote of sarcasm in my post there :P Also 27" is too small for 2-4 feet away? Nah....glez13

I've got a 27 inch monitor at 1440p and it's a bit smallish. In games it's great. The detial is amazing, but on desktop duty I need to scale things up a bit sometimes, or move the monitor closer than my preferred 4 feet or so.

So I guess 4K would be fine, But I'd need to scale up my desktop.

27" @ 4K would give you max almost 2', and a 46" would give you max around 3'.

4k on a 27" screen is completely pointless as a PC Monitor, u need 37-40" to tell the difference at that seating distance.

Honest question: Wouldn't the moniter/TV have to be 37" minimum to tell the difference?Spartan070
If it's gonna sit at the same distance As a 23" 1080p monitor, or a 27" 1440p monitor sits from the average PC Gamer? Yes absolutely

YHeah this is the big thing for me too. 120hz is so sweet,... but 4K... Argh!

Kinthalis

Lol 30hz on a LCD Monitor. That's unbearable! Someone PM me when I can get a 4K OLED or Plasma TV

New standards support 60 hz on 4K panels.

It's not released yet, probably a couple weeks away..Ok I guess u did say near future.. Anyway 60hz on LCD is still garbage, PM me when 4K Plasma or OLED TV's release

[QUOTE="m3Boarder32"][QUOTE="savagetwinkie"] Post a video of it working Monoprice who is one of the most well regarded video/audio cable companies in the world says it won't work in their product description.savagetwinkie

http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/going-the-extra-mile-maxing-out-cable-run-limits-in-your-home-170624
After 25ft they are no longer certified for high speed. Standard speed cables can carry 1080p but it depends on the device is why we only list them as 1080i/720p. Many newer devices though if all you want is 1080p can achieve that with standard speed cables, you only really need a standard speed cable if you are running both 3D and 1080p dude from monoprice
Any way, for just 1080p/60 your really don't need to go nuts, a lot of what monoprice will label will give most end users a lot of head room (basically unnecessary to purchase). They want you to spend more money on cables. It also allows them to avoid more responsibility for more edge cases, if you rate things well below what most can handle.

That article basically recommends HDMI cables with Redmere technology for distances over 25 ft...

[QUOTE="m3Boarder32"][QUOTE="NameIess_One"]

Will you send me over your 670?

We have the exact same model! :P

NameIess_One

I'll sell it lol, what they go for? Actually shit, probably only the reference models will be available for pre order huh..

Yeah, want a better model, wait for about a month. That's when they usually roll out some nice custom ones.

If I'm satisfied with price and performance, good chance I'll be picking one up for me as well, and sell my 670. Else, waiting till next year, see what Nvidia has in mind.

I just want something at least close to as silent as our Asus GTX 670's
