Haha I really like this. Its kind of stupid (it does have self-depricating humour in its dialogue), but its kind of rad too, a little different. 80's cheesy sci-fi movie vibe with dinosaurs that shoot lasers from their heads, developers don't usually take a chance on that
@Kevin-V @shaunmc Kevin, I will always remember you saying Shaun looks like a 12 year old to his face while playing Just Dance for a kinect launch video, I spit out my tea
@finalkain @JBStone1981 @macca366 And I looked for nintendo exclusives to give me an excuse to try out their new machine, the Wii U, but they're not there. They thrive on exclusives yet their new system has none of note, not even for launch?
@JBStone1981 @macca366 I said an ASTOUNDING lineup, Halo and Gears doesn't fit that bill (for me, at least) anymore, though I've had my fun with them in the past. Despite misunderstanding me, I still understand what you are saying.
Unless there's an astounding lineup of launch games or something else up their sleeve, if this rumour is true I will not get the next xbox. And I've been with them since the original xbox, but I just can't see a reason for this, the negatives outweigh the positives. Its a business-oriented move to make, not a consumer-oriented move. Good article Mark.
You know one of my favourite games that I played over-and-over and mastered as a kid was Megaman X4, I really like megaman. I see the screenshots and though it could be really stupid, for some reason I think its awesome. And with guys responsible for the brilliant reimagining of metroid in 3D with Metroid Prime? Could have been a surprisingly good wildcard!
Smart move business-wise, but not good for PR. Sure it might just be adding more options to players cosmetically, for a tiny fee, but I feel that micro transactions are a slippery slope, and the more they get away with the greedier and less consumer-friendly they get
