well its been 4 days since I got an x-box 360 (PAL 60GB VERSION for £170 from Game, I live in Northern Ireland), I decided it would be best to give myself a while to get used to it and find out its capabilities before writing this. I have two games Pro Evolution Soccor 09 and Halo 3 (and must say is a really over hyped game)

So now for the comparisons

-The x-box controller is a far better size than the playstaion controller it fits in the hand far better.

-The left analog and triggers on the 360 are better however i prefer the positioning of the ps3's right analog and the ps3's d-pad is much better.

- On the x-box everyone has headsets which is good but the community isnt much better than ps3 (In Europe)

-The XMB is far easier to navigate than the Dashboard.

- the in game XMB also offers far more options than the in game Dashboard.

- the x-box arcade game selction is better than that of the playstation however the playstation store is layed out better.

-The x-box is incredibly loud.

-The ps3 has a web browser x-box doesnt

-Theres no built in wifi on the x-box (Which is why im not on much as that means i only have a choice of either computer with internet or x-box)

-Most games are multiplat so the libraries are exremly similar

-on x-box all games have in game soundtrack ps3 only a small selection

- I can only use a microsoft hard drive and cant attach a keyboard which are two features i have made use of on my ps3

-The x-box is less personaly customisable than the ps3, eg themes (Which cant be user created on 360 and in most cases need payed for), custom os etc.

Conclusions:

Psn vs XBL = there isnt a substantial enougth diffrence beetween the two Services for XBL to be worth £40 a year and That means I will probably only by XBL when a good online game comes out Eg. Gears 2

Hardware = Ps3 victory

Controller = X-box

Games available on each (This is imo) = Draw (Halo3 and Perfect dark in my opion are not AAA) but this is an opinion so feel free to choose the victor of this catagory depending on which library you prefer.

Fallout 3 one of the BIGGEST games this fall is MUCH BETTER on 360 for 2 reasons.

Reason 1. EXCLUSIVE DLC coming ONLY to 360.

Reason 2. Fallout 3 RUNS AND PLAYS better on 360.

Looks to me like 360 has this in a wrap.
