I've changed my mind about GTA4

I have seen to many good reviews, and heard to much about the story to deny myself the awesomeness, I take it back, I need to play grand theft auto 4. I just wonder which ending I'll get.

giant bomb-lazy asses with a blog and some faithful friends

if you guys haven't heard about giantbomb, which I have since it launched a while ago, it's going to be a fullfledged game website this summer and is in its embryonic stages as a blog run by jeff gerstmann and ryan davis who will be the masters of the project. They have very frequent updates that are mostly jeff gerstmann and ryan davis fan service but it's still fun to read. Check the damn website out man! www.Giantbomb.com

So I just got gran turismo 5

Yeah, I got gran turismo 5 and I have to say I do feel dissapointed. As obvious as it may seem to others, I actually expected it to be fun. The core gameplay is boring, and it has been since the first gran turismo. Sure It's somewhat realistic in that you have to use the correct path and break for just the right amount of time but it ends up simply being: follow this blue line thing, if it turns red brake. I realize now that that's what gran turismo has always been except before they didn't tell you anything and you had to just guess. A couple good things however are that the cars anyway look reasonably good, and I know many people will say they look amazing but if you actually own the game you realize that in game the cars look awkward when they move and the overall effect feels unnatural as well as unappealing. I suppose that wasn't exactly a good thing but I can say that it has some pretty cars and it has simplified a few things, but with the lack of content (I got to the class "A" cars in 5 hours, there are only 6 tracks to) I would suggest that you not get this, EVEN IF YOU LIKE GRAN TURISMO! It looks bad, it plays bad, it's way low on content. Buy the full game; don't let sony push out demos of average games and then charge 40$ for them.

how do blog guys do it?

I just don't know how you guys do it I suck at blogs and maybe I'm just an empty soul but I think if I knew how I could make some interesting stuff got any suggestions and or hateful comments for me?

lotr games

I'm gonna do some much much shorter posts from now on. Lord of the Rings games! There are no fricken Lord of the the Rings games! don't they realize If they release them I will buy 2 copies? cause I will! Alright anyways..... come on developers.

Why I hate detrimental speculators and harddrives

I'm sinscerly sorry for writing about this because I know many of you don't care to much but I just have to. It's really about several things that have been on my mind about gaming lately as well as they are things that I have always held true. Firstly, graphics matter, and if you say that we are at the peak of graphics right now and that development should move to motion controls or better gamepad control then you're not only crazy but you're a detriment to the future of games. Have you seen the cutscenes that are possible in games nowadays, or pixar movies; games can look that good; it isn't that far off. Maybe I just pay more attention but for me there are still countless flaws in realism and detail in the current generation of games. So when I hear people say something like: I think games will shift more towards developing new ways to control things, things already look real enough, I get pissed off!

The second thing is about the internet, now I love the internet and without it you and that one other guy wouldn't be able to read this but I hate paying money and then downloading something. This is mainly because I hate harddrives. Harddrives crash, they run out of space, and they are often less convenient if you have a large library of games on a harddrive to sort through. Storage and saftey are the main issues though, a disc can now hold 50 gb and if you have a good number of games it's impossible to hold them all on a harddrive. The truth is this will always be the case as advances in harddrives and disc readers run side by side so that by the time there are 10TB drives in most places there will be a 3TB disc. The other thing is saftey. Harddrives crash and unless you have a backup harddrive ( which quickly costs more than using discs) you will lose all your games and have to re-download them if you have a good service and in the case of itunes you just lose them forever. How lazy are people anyway that they can't get up and put a disc in.

So that's what I had to say and if you read through it and care, well I'm surprised.

Future console manufacturer speculation

I thought a little bit about which companies might get in on the next generation of gaming after this one and here's what I think. Obviously, unless something drastic happens, sony, microsoft and nintendo will make consoles, but who else?! Well let's think now dell? Maybe if they decided to make their own operating system if they ever completely dominate the computer market, but likely no as that wont happen for a while and infact dell is losing interest all the time. HP? No, they just don't have the money. Toshiba? Same Deal. Sega? NO... Mac?! hmmm let me see, you know now that I think of it I do think mac would do well to make a console in the future, especially if they truly start to dominate more segments of the PC Gamer demographic and as unlikley as that sounds they do have plans to come out with the new mac pro desktop in 1 or 2 years and for that matter many gamers on consoles and PC already have powerful macs that can run windows for gaming with the leopard OS. As Mac products get more popular with the gaming population and their dominance in iPod's stays, as it will, I think apple will have an interesting oppurtunity to say you can have style, speed, functionality, and, the new addition, graphics performance with a mac console and I bet you alot of people will buy it. And at that point they don't even need to advertise as the publicity coming from all the gaming media going crazy over the paradime shift. Do it apple, I'll buy 5.
