LOTR: Battle for Middle Earth II was great on the 360.

Between those two I'd pick Lost Oddyssey hands down.

[QUOTE="Zeldaguy16"]

[QUOTE="mfp16"]shadowrun has bots, and UT3 has bots (but thats not out for the 360 yet)mfp16

both of which are terrible games.

shadowrun is terrible, but UT3 is fantastic

I wouldn't call UT3 terrible... but I wouldn't buy it...

I've just read yet another thread naming MS as the greediest company among other similar comments and complaints posted by other users. Every day I see more and more references to how much of a rip off they've become. Since I've joined this forum community I have read hundreds of threads of angry gamers defaming MS. Obviously MS cannot be totally ignorant to that fact. And now that PS3 is outselling them you'd think they'd start to change their ways. My brother was once 100% loyal to the 360 up until a few months ago when he finally cracked and bought a PS3. Tonight was the first time he's turned on his xbox since and I had to force him to. Results like that are typical when you upset your customers.

I know I'm not alone on that thought and I'm not flaming or trying to start a console war but my question to you is what your reason to keep playing 360 is? If you own both consoles which one do you tend to play multi platform games on? What would you like to see MS change/do to keep the appeal?

For me, I love the 360! I like the 360 for achievements (as petty as that is). Also, most of my friends own a 360 as well and I tend to play with them only. I don't mind the prices for the consoles but videos and tv shows are a little high (and I download a lot of these).

The games. Very few of the exclusives that appear on Sony's consoles have ever intrigued me. Nintendo on, the other hand has some pretty good exclusives.

[QUOTE="nocoolnamejim"]It really doesn't matter. Any of the races can be made to work depending on how you play the game. I would say that Marksman/bow usage is one of the weakest things in the game. Bows are largely useless.morpheusnj

so would you say magic>bows as a ranged weapon? and would you just suggest I completely trash the ranged attacks idea and just go into an all out swords and shield guy?

Bows are far more accurate for long range attacks, and can give one shot kills when combined with poisoned/enchanted arrows. Plus you get an attack multiplier for a shot made while undetected.

[QUOTE="romans828_2002"]Sony doesn't own blu-ray lock, stock, and barrel. They are one of many companies, including Phillips and Pioneer who have stake in the format. In the electronics industry, it really doesn't matter, to be completely honest. For example, Toshiba, who was the driving force behind HD-DVD, bought the rights to the Cell processor, the CPU to the PS3. If I'm not mistaken, and please correct me if I'm wrong, but the PS3 also runs on a Microsoft OS. I think Microsoft's next-gen console will be just fine. However, I'm still enjoying their current-gen console!FearTheRain

The OS for the PS3 is not made by Microsoft.

Blu-ray is important because of the capabilities that it allows as far as storage and data transfer rates. Faster data transfers allow for faster loading times and higher frame-rate capabilites.

Microsoft's next console will have Blu-ray. Mark my words.

I don't think it's a given that ANY of the next generation of consoles (including Sony's) will have blu-ray. Digital distribution might put blu-ray under and/or obsolete. Also, this early in the product cycle, the data transfer rates of blu-ray drives suck. That was the main advantage HD-DVD had over blu-ray - faster transfer rates. The format war was only decided by marketing, not specs.

This is a great game - a huge step forward for JRPGs in my opinion. Accessable, yet still difficult, all while being both entertaining and fun.
