I was playing crysis 2 today when my computer suddenly restarted, the profromance was fine right up to the restart. I checked my bios and my idoling temp for my cpu was 45 degrees, Not outragious but enough to cause concern,

I took off my fan and reset it with a tiny bit more thermal compound, Its silver compound and a thermal electric fan from chill tech.

Went back to my bios and the temp was at a normal 19 degrees and the fan display said 18 so i figured problem solved. When im in windows my temp alarm is going off 2 minutes after start up and then the temp alarm on my fans display starts going off and the heatsinc is hot to the touch.

I underclocked the cpu slightly and same thing happens.

Im thinking about sending the cpu back, but i think OC voids the warentee...

I have built 3 computers before and have never had this happen before, I dont know what to do now...

Any sugestions? Did i just blow almost 1000 bucks?

I purchased a Gforce 9800GTX+ a few years back, and It baffles me as to why i am able to play any game ( crysis 2, Wow , bullet storm) on max settings at max resolution. 1080p.

Even on my 52 inch monitor every thing is silky smooth at 120 fps on every game almost all the time.

Im confused... Every one tells me that if i get a 6x series I will have much better performance and less heat,

So... dose any one know approx how much longer the 9800+ will be an effective card? I have my doubts about BF3... But im sure it will run at 60 fps,

Just because somthing bad happned on that day dose not mean that people should have to be carfull about what they do on that day 10 years on,

The xbox remake is censored a lot more then the origonal, with the best part cut out... but if that is what your worried about get the xbox version.

Its not as sharp as i would like, but there are no games even beginning to touch the hardware limits yet ( i hope...)

So far the graphics seem to be atlease 2 times better then the ds, The trailer for super mario is quite impressive, you should check that out.

I sold a japanese copy of FF 7 for 300 bucks last year It was new in the package, I purchased it for 12 bucks at EBgames the year before. This game, wont be worth much because it is a remake and not limited.
