From what it looks like newer PSN members and ones who have never brought anything from PSN Store seem to get the e-mail prompts while everyone else gets to change their passwords at the log in stage, I don't know why Sony choose this method. As for the e-mails themselves if your getting server error its probably because that particular side of the server is becoming overloaded with millions of requests to send out e-mails and recieve them again once someone changes their password.

As for length it takes well I hear its anywhere from 1-24 hours, personally I've been waiting around 5 n half hours.

how do you get a new password?lonewolf604
PSN will either prompt you to change your password when you sign in on your console OR they will tell you they are sending an e-mail for you to change your password.

I got the e-mail prompt to change my password but like a few other million people, its taking ages to actually get the e-mail from Sony. So close yet so far away

For the majorty of games I will wait for a price drop of under £30 normally around the £25 mark but of course now and again, there will be a game I need on Day One like Mass Effect 2 or the upcoming Dead Space 2. I have several excellent internet shops on my bookmarks and normally get a good deal even on brand new games. This year I got...

Splinter Cell Conviction andAlan Wake cost me about£25 eachafter only 2/3 months after release. Enslaved cost around £22 only several weeks after launch and FIFA 11 cost £29 after several weeks. The best bargain I ever did on the 360 was in May 2009 when I got Dead Space (Q4 2008 Release) for £14.99 brand new and dam that game is good enough to pay £40 for.

in 2011 I plan to pick up loads of games that came out this year for £20-25.

I did when the ability was first patched for our consoles but since then not really but thats mainly due to my HDD still being the old 20gb one. Next year I plan to buy a 2nd hand 120gb HDD from CEX (£45 ish) and then for certain games i will install them to the HDD. Howerver I discovered that some games are louisy to play from the HDD...

GTA 4 - Textures loaded so slow from HDD when I was driving through the city at a fast speed soI went back to the disc

Fallout 3 DLC's - Playing GOTY version and the DLC's are installed the to HDD and since I moved ontro broken steel, I've noticed frame rate issues in one or two places and twice I've had a console lock up (doesn't happen with other games) so I assume its due to the game being so big and playing poorly off the hdd.

Am sure there are other games not really designed for this on the 360 but overall games to HDD is a good idea still.

I hate the sort of DLC that comes out so quick after game release or the plot of the DLCmakes itclearl that it should be put into the main game (Creed 2)though Bioware free DLC was a good way of quick updates. DLC that bridges gaps between sequels like Lair of the shadow broker and the upcoming Dead Rising 2 DLC are fine by me and GTA 4 DLC was big enough to be its own game when compared to titles like TFU 2.

COD DLC is the worst IMO bugs due to the stupid price of it for a few maps.
