[QUOTE="DarkCatalyst"]With Itagaki out at Team Ninja, I think it's safe to call that series more or less over.DarkCatalyst

Weren't they going to be making another game without him?

That depends on if they have the balls to. I'm sure Team Ninja post-Itagaki will do a lot to seperate itself from Itagaki-era Team Ninja, especially if Metroid is any indication.

DOA: Paradise. Just sayin' >___> :P

I would assume they'd get to it eventually. While there's little chance of it appearing anytime soon, I'm on dangling hopes TGS will bring something. I really doubt it though.

[QUOTE="SteelAttack"] I...have no idea what you are talking about. Please elaborate. ASK_Story

Err, uh, how do I say this? Okay...

Those are most likely the in-game cinematics.

That's all you had to say! :P

I assume he wanted to know how I came up to that conclusion it was in-game :( My bad, Steel!

[QUOTE="SteelAttack"]Even though it's a CG trailer, it's quite impressive for a handheld. SteelAttack

That's not CG! :x :P What was shown was a scaled down version of the MT Framework engine (RE5, Lost Planet) or in a sense, a bump above RE4's visuals.

No way Capcom would be seen making such low quality CG with it's angular surfacing and low-frame animation.

I...have no idea what you are talking about. Please elaborate.

Err, uh, how do I say this? Okay...

The MT Framework engine was used for current-gen games like Dead Rising, DMC4, Lost Planet and Resident Evil 5. It's signature visuals are apparent in the video (sort of like how people can distinguish a game using unreal engine 3) though with a lower polygon rate shown with the angular surfaces. So those are most likely the in-game cinematics. Or put it in a comparison between RE4 and REmake, it's almost a sure thing.

I don't know if you got that :P I'm not that good in explaining things...

It has Jill and zombies, that's all I need to know.

It's like Kojima was hired to write the story for this trailer, WHAT?

Lets go frame by frame:

- First is a voice over by Chris showing the guy in the chair that looks like Chris so that we believe it is indeed Chris.
- A flash of the mansion, LiN looking mansion, and a boat.
- Chris and Jill on a boat.
- Chris and Jill being attacked by a Zombie (YAY!!!) in the mansion lobby. Jill does the Gold edition cover pose for no reason at all, they give each other ammo. zombie vomits on Jill.
- Tentacles on a boat
- Hunk jumping over something, lands on a zombie and shoots it in the head.
- EXPLOSION! Jill hanging for life while explosion happens below.
- Mansion area is part of the boat (ok enough of the mansion) and it is now being flooded.
- Boat is hit by a tsunami
- Now the crazy part, Jill points gun at the Chris in the chair, another Chris comes in and points a gun at her. They talk and Chris in chair doesn't sound like Chris at all. Weird.

It looked incredible, if that is the 3DS graphics it will be amazing. The zombies have such a great design, you need to freeze the frame but it is even better than REmake.

First they went all retro Hollywood twist on us with RE5, now it's Kojima-crazy twist with this? :P At least it won't be predictable... given that they know how to make better, safer trailers now

First seeing the screenshot of what seemed to be two Chris Redfield's (with the sure one at a standoff with Jill?!) confused the hell out of me. Now after seeing this, either they ran out of model designs or it's a damn mind****!

Here it is! (Kotaku)

The debut trailer shows what seems to be in-game cinematics (a downscaled version of MT Framework, it looks like). If this is is what the 3DS can pull off, then expect some great looking titles in the coming future.

As for the story...yeah. A bit sketchy and still unknown when it takes place. But hey, are those ZOMBIES?! YESHHH!

[QUOTE="Spirit_of_87"]

Fake. How can all six selectable characters exist when they are from different time lines of Castlevania lore? No Julius, no Harmony.

Everyone knows 2D Castlevania's are on handhelds only.

Harmony of Despair has been trademarked for quite a while now. Will be on DS or the new one that does 3D.

jasonharris48

It's not fake. It was announced at E3 lol.

You replied to a much earlier post when it still was just a leak/rumor :P Even then, there are still some out there who can't believe it yet
