I think thats a very short sighted attitude. If the numbers keep on dropping then devs will indeed stop making games for the system which will have a knock on effect with potential buyers which inturn will mean devs make less games.....

You only have to look back at the N64 to see how things could turn out, a great system but handled really badly and WAY overpriced with very few games, we all know how that ended up.

Yeah but is Nintendo wining with the Wii because it's a way better system, or just because it's so cheap and easy to play? Im sorry but if the xbox 360 and PS3 droped out and all that was left was Nintendo i would just have to go all Pc gameing, because consoles would be dead to me.

BTW Nintendo SUCKS. ( thats my opinon of course), i'll prob get band now, we all know you can't say anything bad about nintendo without the mods jumping all over your ass. lol

What a bunch oif liars, if this was the news at the begining of the gen and nintendo whent with a high end console like the rest you know you would be buying it no matter what the price.

Or course it wouldn't be 700$ more like 450$-500$ like the 360 and PS3

Honestly its not really the price tag thats killing sony.. Its the lack of games and the fact the 360 had a one year headstart. I keep hearing people say "if the PS3 didnt have blu ray and was cheaper, it would sell better" I actually disagree I think the PS3 would still be doing poor even if it was only $399.99 simply because the 360 had a one year headstart so in turn it has the better games and better live service. So just rest assured that even if the PS3 was cheaper and didnt have blu ray.. It still wouldnt win

Another reason is because so far the PS3 games look just as good as any 360 games out now and its on blu ray.. Imagine how bad the games would look if sony used DVD format, they would look awful compared to 360 games.

OMG you are so right, you are like a genius, because we all know that the PS3 will not get any more games as of today and so you are so right the PS3 can't passably win the gen.

And of course Xbox 360 and Wii will put out AAA games from now on every month, to assure there success.

PS3 sold a woeful 82,000 units for the month, while the Nintendo DS once again stole the show with 471K. PS3 sales were so low that Nintendo's ancient GBA sold more with 84K.

The best selling console was Nintendo's Wii with 360K sold, while the Xbox 360 sold an unimpressive 174K. Sony's PS2 beat out the 360 (again) with 194K. The PSP sold 183K units and the GameCube (essentially on life support) sold just 13K.

There is still something off about all the PS3's graphics. The games all look lifeless and flat still, I agree some of the animations were pretty cool but something is still missing. I still have no more faith in the machine as of yet but I am waiting patiently like every other PS3 owner.Khansoul

Why because it's clear and colorful, and not bland and has it's colors washed out like GeOW and ever other graphics heavy game on the 360?

If the games weren't blu ray, then this would be the solution. The other real solution to ps3's problem, is for Sony to invent/find a time machine and go back and stick with dvd9 to begin with.whoisryanmack

Hehe you say that now, but wait a year or so and you will wish you could take that back. Sorry buy Dvd9 is on it's way out, everyone knows this.

start a 2nd format on dvd and sell the console at $400 if  they want to play the blu ray ps3 games they need to buy the add on, or the high end ps3 sku.jessmo30_basic

Why go thru all that when within a year they will just do a price drop, and have it for less will the blueray still there.
