I may be wrong on this, but it seems to me that they never changed the animations across all 4 games. Snake crouches the same, crawls the same, runs the same, etc... pixel for pixel. IMO, it's really terrible to see such akward animations in a game that looks so good graphically.
Like you have Snake standing there with a knife and a pistol and he looks all crimped up like a raptor or something. Crouch moving just looks silly, especially from a espionage stand point. Myabe its just me, but outside of cutscenes, character animations look stiff and outdated. I've never played MGS4, but that's what I saw in the gameplay videos.
Do they do this for nostalgic purpouses? Why can't Snake move more spy like?
HoldThePhone
Good points. I think this is for gameplay. I mean, if Snake moved like he did in cutscenes, the controls would get too complicated.
I bought my console because i was brainwashed by the company.Panther501
Ouch. Which company are you referring to?
I bought a PS3 because it had all the features I wanted.
[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"][QUOTE="fanboy999"]so many people complain about the $50 but you can get it cheaper if you buy on sale. Last week Best Buy had the 13 month XBL card for $29.99. That's $2.30 a month. People spend more money at Starbucks for coffee.gamer-adam1
People complain not because of the cost... but the necessity of paying to use a service that *should* be free.
its free because there are people willing to spend $100s monthly on running servers. i would like someone to find a server that costs less than $10 monthly
I don't understand. Please elaborate.
[QUOTE="bluej33"]Online is free on the PS3 but not on the 360, which essentially means that the 360 costs just fifty bucks less than the PS3. Then, if you need to hook up your 360 to the internet wirelessly, it's another hundred bucks for the adapter, which would actually mean the PS3 costs less. Personally, I think that the PS3 is a better deal -- plus, the 360 will be obsolete in a couple years anyway. obamanian
But if you do not need all those things, and play offline only, like i did with N64,PS1,PS2, xbox anyway, 360 costs just 199$ to play the best games, like FF13, Alan Wake, Mass Effect etc etc etc
That's like saying if you don't want to play games, just watch movies, PS3 wins because of Blu-ray.
And Arcade is a sorry way for Microsoft to make XBOX look cheaper.
Online gaming is a huge feature in this generation, and I'm sure most, if not all gamers put this in mind when purchasing a new console.
[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"]The Xbox is the only platform that has charged for online multiplayer in the history of gaming. Every single platform has been able to offer online for free... and there is no justification for the $50 for Live... since you can do everything that Live offers except online multiplayer with a silver account. I've been using a Silver account since I got my 360 in July and haven't had a single desire to play online.BigJerm1
Uh, yeah, but for the millions of people who DO like to play online......
Seriously, people act like $50 a year is such a burden. If that's the case, you probably need to find a cheaper hobby. Hell, Best Buy was just selling 13 months of Live for $29.99 this past week. I've been paying for Live for 3 years, and I think it's definitely worth the paltry cost. If people don't like it, don;t pay for it. It's not that difficult of a problem.
People are complaining because online was always a free feature... until Microsoft decided to put a price tag on it.
It's like if Google was the only way you can search the Net, and they decided to charge users a fee for their use. Sure, it's not a necessity, but they're taking away the peoples' enjoyment in order to make money.
[QUOTE="Mongo-Boss"]Why not compare the xbox 360 thats of equal price, $400 ps3 (out of the box like you said) can't do HD, whereas the $400 Xbox 360 does full HD out of the box :)You get what you pay for
This is like the XBL Vs PSN debate, XBL has more features for a price
Out of the box:
PS3 ($400)- Wifi, rechargeable controller, Harddrive, free online and blu-ray player
360 Arcade is half the price but lacks all those features, however you will not necesarilly need them so it's up to the person to decide which is the better deal, if you want the extra features the PS3 is the better choice, if you don't need them the 360 is the one for you.
Then again the whole point of a console is to play games so the one with the games you prefer is the better deal.
dotWithShoes
Again, I don't know whether you're being sarcastic or not (sorry if you are), but your defense is absolutely ridiculous. If a person can afford to drop down $400, $10 wouldn't be a problem, would it?
ugh he got brainwashed. someone is saying that 50$ to play online is good:|JangoWuzHere
Microsoft + Hypnosis = $$$$$$$$
[QUOTE="masterflame10"][QUOTE="st1ka"]don't these two sentences negate each other?
st1ka
A mediocre FPS? So I guess you already finished the full retail copy. And metacritic disagrees with you.
you're quoting the wrong guy here, i never said Killzone 2 was a mediocre game, hell i never even played the demoMy bad. I was replying to the mushroom guy. :P
And you don't know what you're missing. Go download. NOW.
...if you have a PS3, that is.
[QUOTE="isukuno"][QUOTE="dotWithShoes"] All xbox models now come with HDMI outputs.. not just elites.dotWithShoesReally? Then my bad...then isn't the elite version the only one that comes with an HDMI cable included? Thats true, but you can also use the cows excuse of "an HDMI cable only costs $8 so blah blah"..
Um... it kinda does cost that much dude. Or maybe a little bit more expensive, but really, it shouldn't be a factor at all. :?
