[QUOTE="MushroomRevenge"][QUOTE="st1ka"]

let's be honest here, this is the meain reason why everyone is so hyped for Killzone 2

st1ka

I know, but atleast Killzone 2 has actual game play to back it up. Even if its just a mediocre FPS, its playable.

don't these two sentences negate each other?

A mediocre FPS? So I guess you already finished the full retail copy. And metacritic disagrees with you.

What, where do you live in?

Check out the Playstation 3 section. Greatest Hits means they're $29.99 or less.

And it doesn't have to be even what majority of people would call a "gaming PC", the PC has such rich history and library of adventure games, that even 3 next generations of consoles combined wouldn't be even able to come remotely close to it. The biggest con of PC in this respect is its relatively big number of niche / indie games, which is something that can't be accomplished on consoles. PC is an undisputable king in this respect and the situation doesn't seem likely to change any time soon.

Feel free to discuss.

Not a gaming PC, huh? So that means... a vast majority of the population can play these action/adventure games. Well, I'll bite. What are they?

I've had a 360 for 2 years now (i've went through a couple though because of the RROD) and it's been great, but with 2009 I'm thinking maybe I should trade my 360 for a ps3?

The exclusives for ps3 now seem to be much better than 360. A blu-ray player and HDMI would also be nice to have.

LBP , MGS 4 , Killzone 2 , god of war 3 , infamous , ratchet and clank , flower , uncharted 2

all of them look great and there seems to be a much better variety of game types on PS3.

I've played/am tired of pretty much all 360 games except halo 3 and the fallout 3 DLC... and the exclusives comming out this year don't look very promising.

But I hear alot of people who say they have both systems rarely touch PS3, which worries me alittle bit...

Do alot of people play though PSN? Is the internet still laggy?

Do you guys think it's worth it?

xHazy

If you can, keep the 360 and buy a PS3. Then you get the best of both worlds.

But if you really don't have the money and have to sell your XBOX, then go for it. Sounds like you're getting tired of it.

Yes, a lot of people are on PSN, very close to XBL in terms of numbers, simply because PSN is free.

Unless you have a bad Internet connection, online lag is not a factor. There are even dedicated servers.

Simply put, if you want it, and have the money, why not?

[QUOTE="aflakian"][QUOTE="rybe1025"]I think St1ka made the best list so far. On that list also it is clear it will not be the year of the PS3 since the 360 has twice as many games coming out.

Qualitative>Quantitative
Most of those games (360/PC) are coming from small, unproven PC-devs.
If simply having more games is the primary qualifying factor for "year of" accolades, PC wins by default.

Like I said in the other post. Show me the scores for all your quality 2009 games since you know they are so good or let me guess you are just hoping they are? Face it the 360 as always is getting the bigger and more diverse library.

So you just admitted quality is important. By the looks of it, PS3 will get more quality, killer-app games, since they have games coming out from proven developers (Naughty Dog, Insomniac, etc). And bigger and more diverse means nothing if the games aren't good. Remember, if you want to argue that 360 has more AAA games, know that they also have the most crap games.

[QUOTE="jack_michael"]yeh all games would make horrible generic movies, even mgs! wapahala

"Even" MGS? MGS would be a comedy.

A Metal Gear Solid movie is expected hit theaters this year. Seriously. I'm not even joking. You can search it up.

I enjoy Home very much. I just recently talked with two great people while playing pool and bowling. Too many people expect Home to be something it's not supposed to be. It's supposed to be a place where you can meet other fellow gamers to talk to, and for me and many others, it's working. I can only see Home getting better and better, with devs coming in to create their own space and whatnot. Enjoy Home for what it is: a place where you can go to chill with other gamers.
