I'm not sure about your motherboard, but if you look at the specs of your computer, you need to find out if you have a PCI-E 2.0 card slot. If you don't, that 9800 GT is going to be WASTED. And that PSU is actually pretty good. I got a 300W with mine and had to buy a new one when I upgraded my card. Your system seems perfect to upgrade to a newer card.

It's ALOT bigger. When you take it out of the box, you will laugh at how big it is. It just barely fits in my case.

Btw. Tight avitar.

everyone on these forums thinks they are cool because they have better hardware than the next guy... who freaking cares, the guy didn't come on here saying my **** is better than yours, he just said he got a new card and he's pumped about it, what is your problem? you are not cool because your card is better than the next guys, just congradualte the guy that he's excited about an upgrade... there was a time when you too had a card that wasn't cutting edgeeverdai

Correct. Until about a month ago, I was sporting an 8300 GS. That's about as crappy as they get. And I don't think I am "cool" because I have an awesome card. Where did you get that idea? I was telling him that his new card will not play games on high settings and won't get the most out of his game. I was being serious about taking his card back and getting a new one for a little more money. You need to chill out. No where in my post did I appear elitist. Calm down, spazz.

Very true. If you want the true Spore experience, you need to play it on a

1) Better laptop

2) A decent desktop.

Do you not have a desktop? You could probably upgrade it to play spore for around 50 bucks if that.

I'm not going to stroke your belly like the other people. You came on this forum to gloat, so I don't feel bad about bursting your bubble. That card is a piece of crap for gaming. If you want to get serious about gaming and play games the way they are meant to be played, you need to take that card back, pay 50 dollars more, and get an 8800 GT.

Parallels will slow down your computer quite a bit. You will NOT be able to play games in Parallels. You should use Bootcamp to play games. And yes you will need some kind of virus protction. Just get a free program.

[QUOTE="StealthKing93"]A Dell Inspiron D530, It's up there. I might as well buy a new PC then. I am going for the Nvidia prebuilt Biohazard Nuclear Winter at highest specs. Which is arround $12,000 and I will be able to afford it soon. Just waitin for meh check.yoyo462001
honestly thats a massive waste of money imo you may aswell burn money...but anyways enjoy.

Completely agree. You are being VERY stupid if you buy that. There are actual guides and links to parts to build PCs that will kick Crysis' ASS for 2,500. Just google "2500 dollar gaming rig". I just saw it this morning. If you are too lazy.... I guess you could throw that kind of money away... your choice.

I'm a google fanboy so I'm gonna say that their spyware is for the benefit of mankind.siskokidd

I have to agree. I always hear about people whining about "Google tracking your searches". Hell! It's the only website other than Amazon that actually HELPS me find what I want instead of posting random adds about sex hotlines.

About the browser.... I can't believe how much I like it. If StumbleUpon get's moved to Chrome... FF3 is obsolete to me.

Alright. I bought a Macbook Pro a month ago using my student discount. I got it for 1799. It included:

2.2 ghz Core 2 duo

2 gig RAM

nVidia 8600GT

200 gig HDD.

I used boot camp to put Windows on it so that I could play Steam, and WOW. To all of you that say it plays "okay" you haven't tried it. It runs really great. I have played STALKER on everything high res and it runs great. And I know this isn't a "high end" game, but it runs WoW on everything maxed out at 77 FPS.

If you want to game, get the Pro.
