And why not get yourself a sata3 6.0 Gbps hard drive like a Seagate or Hitachi. I don't recommend the Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB because it's loud.

Edit: I thought that General_X was the original poster, my mistake.

Get the i5-3570k cpu so you can use USB 3.0 and pci-e 3.0. It costs about the same as the i5-2500k.

I hear bad things about OCZ power supplies, so get a Corsair, Seasonic or XFX power supply. 650W is sufficient. 750W if you plan on adding another video card later.

Add an aftermarket cpu cooler like the Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus.

I'm not sure if the Coolermaster HAF case has front USB 3.0 ports. The Antec 302 case has that.

Personally I would buy the XFX Radeon HD 7870 Double D. It's around $250 and isn't much slower than the 7950.

Add 1 or 2 120mm fan that has PWM.

All the other components are good.

Edit: I recommend the G.Skill Ripjaws 2x4GB 1600 Mhz (red heatsink).

Drakensang and Drakensang 2 The River of Time, both very good old-school party-based CRPGs.

Good choices except for the Nexus PSU. I would go with a Corsair, Seasonic or Antec PSU.

My new PC is similar to yours. I'm waiting for the Antec 302 case to arrive before I can build it.

- ASUS P8Z77-V LE
- i5-3570k
- Sapphire 7850
- G.Skill Ripjaws 8 GB DDR3
- WD Caviar Black 1 TB
- Asus DVD writer
- Corsair HX750W power supply (overkill I know but it was on sale and cheaper than the HX650W)
- Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus heatsink
- Antec 302 case

Can anyone that have the Antec Three Hundred Two case measure its height please ?
On the Antec website it says that the height is 20.2 inches but on one of the pictures on Newegg it says it's 18.5 inches.
I'm hoping it's 18.5 inches.

I'll be building a new PC very soon (I have already ordered every piece of hardware except the case) and I would appreciate an answer.

Drakensang - The Dark Eye is a great SP party-based CRPG. The main story is so so but the gameplay features were very good in my opinion, such as the very fun and strategic pausable semi turn-based combat, deep RPG system (attributes, skills, talents, spells), variety of weapons and armor, many armor slots, side quests, likable companions, crafting (recipes for bowyery, blacksmithing and alchemy), special moves for melee and range combat, lore and music. Other games that are worth playing: Gothic 1 Gothic 2 Gold Edition Risen You can buy these games on amazon. Drakensang - The River of Time, the prequel to the other one, is only available in digital format for North America.

The images are taken from the AMD Fusion Developer Summit that ended today. The new cards won't be out next month. I'm thinking during the back to school period or just before the holidays.

You would save more money if you buy at NCIX or DirectCanada.
They usually have better prices than newegg.ca.
And I would pick an hd6850 instead of the hd5770.

I just found an hd6850 for $130 after a mail in rebate of $20.
