You seem to like RPGs, so i recommend Drakensang.Excellent single player party based RPG.
It's less than 10$ on amazon.

Bad move changing the 5770 for the 5830. The 5830 isn't much faster for a lot more money. In short it sucks.

Wait for the 5850 to drop in price or go back with the 5770.

The Powercolor Radeon HD 5770 PCs 875MHZ 1GB is the best choice among the 3. The Sonata case doesn't have good airflow. I would get the Antec 300. PM to: http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=10370AC8944&vpn=THREE%20HUNDRED&manufacture=ANTEC For the power supply: http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=33040&vpn=OCZ500MXSP&manufacture=OCZ%20Technology&promoid=1219 or http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=11180AC2518&vpn=CMPSU-550VX&manufacture=CORSAIR You can save a little money by getting a smaller hard drive, like this one: http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=48186&vpn=WD10EARS&manufacture=Western%20Digital%20WD&promoid=1219

Add 10-20$ and get the HD5770 instead. I see a Powercolor HD5770 priced at 140$ after rebate on newegg.

Nothing better then turning my system with the 4850 on to get random dll errors, system bsods on new drivers then having to wait several weeks till they finally fix it. Now that is just being honest there.

I've had the HD4850 for nearly 2 years, and have gone from Catalyst 8.7 to 9.xx to 10.3 now, and never had the problems you listed. And i'm using XP SP3.

The HD5850 is the one i'm looking for. At 260$ and beating the GTX285. I'll wait until the price drops to about 180$.

The 8.7 folder must still be in C:\ATI\SUPPORT\8-7_...\ Go there and double click on Setup.exe. Or redownload 8.7.

can it be a problem that i dont have 2 partitions i only have 1 partion... should i make 2 partions on 320 gb?

N00bZsTeR

No that's not the problem. Run the Crysis benchmark tool benchmark_gpu all high no AA in DX9 at 1440x900. I'll compare your results with mine.

Don't use the Y cables that come with your card. Use 2 pci-e connectors from your power supply and connect them to your card.
