It's Netscape all over again...danaboFind it difficult to understand your post. Netscape created the web browser of choice, Microsoft copied it with IE and effectively killed the browser market by bundling it with it's monopoly OS Windows. So my question is A) is your point that Microsoft can sink Sony and the PS3 the way the did with Netscape? and if so B) do you support companies who's business practices include ip copying and predatory competition?

I said look me in the eyes, junior. I'm not mych for ownage, but with 2000 posts, you need another hobby.i cant be silent when people talk up ps1 and ps2 sales... i personally owned 3 ps1s and 4 ps2s... as sony consoles tend to break often... and i know i am not the only one becuase out of all my freinds only one of them that is right one of them only had to buy 2 ps2s as their 1st one broke. i think in reality only 30-50 million people own ps2s that work. the rest are in garbage dumps hanging out with E.T. for the atari!frankeyser
You don't know what you are talking about, still you're talking. Electronics in general have a 5% failure rate under warranty, and need to be replaced. There are multiple ways of measuring a console's success, your guesstimation is not one of them so why don't we stay with the ones we know, like units sold?!
Played the Wii for the first time a few days ago, and think it's great, and has the potential to produce a number of very innovative titles over the coming years. For me though, it it a party game machine - just like my dance mat and karaoke games. The bulk of my time is spent playing more traditional games, and then the game pad is my choice.
I'm very happy for Nintendo's success. Have always loved them and mourned their shrinking market share over the past generations, but for systems wars purposes - they are not in the fight anymore.
It could also have something to do with the pointless posts like this. So, because you don't like it, it's pointless?[QUOTE="CarlosPontinas"][QUOTE="TimeToPartyHard"][QUOTE="CarlosPontinas"]You know .... this may have something to do with the 360 being a better console.jamesgj
Hmm thats what I was thinking. He doesn't like the Xbox 360 and he wont admit it to be the best system so now he thinks it's pointless.
My dad's the best, no my dad's the best, no my dad's 10 timest greater than your dad, no MY dad's 1.000 times greater than your dad. Is not, is too, is not, is too... Grow up. Faster. To be honest, I don't really see how different Sony's launch is from Microsoft's 1 ½ years ago. Got my 360 on launch day, was hugely dissapointed in the launch title (and PDZ in particular), hardly touched it until GRAW launched last spring (about now in Sony's launch cycle). Am now a very happy 360-owner, but can't remember Gamespot publishing similar "fix-it" articles back then.
This is primarily an expectations game, and people seem to have hugely inflated expectations. Only one's happy (or sad) are the spin doctor's in Systems Wars.
I myself find it really difficult to play my 360 on a SDTV; could hardly read the menus before I got my Bravia. Now, with an HDTV, I'm really looking forward to HD movie playback. Moreover, remember that we're only one year into a generation that will live for another 5-6. You will see much prettier games later on in the life cycle, and they may (or may not) require more disc space.
