If your talking about continous storyline, then yes, its one of the best ever. If your talking a series in general, then no.. Zelda, final fantasy, mario are just a few other series that FAR eclipse mgs in terms of total sales and general fans.

Not taking anything away from mgs though, i LOVE the series, and is definately in my top 3 fav series, but it wont be in everyones *shrugs*

LOL, was it jinpachi? and those STUPID chest fireballs that take off 3/4 of your life?

its bad enough when he fires ONE, let alone TEN IN A ROW!

and your just like madly pressing down to sidestep... but you just know.... they are going to hit you.... and you are going to die....

BPoole96

Oh yeah. It was certainly fireball man. There's a "challenge" and then there is "cheap". That guy was clearly swimming in the pool of "cheap". lol Just getting to the guy was an act of skill.

I hated how that entire fight revolved around whether or not he would use the fireballs or not. It was irritating how I'd hit him twice one match and then die from fireballs, and then the next match I'd barely take any damage because he didn't use them.

I am so happy to see that me and my girlfriend are not the only ones who share the same frustrations about Jinpachi and his stupid gaping chest of teeth and death.

Seriously, it was worse than shao khans shoulder charge move, and thatwas bad enough.

Everyone has said the things i already think. ie bad gameplay and the like

But how about Over Hyping?

I think THIS has killed almost as many titles as bag gameplay.

Haze, GTA4, Prototype, assassins creed. these are games that were heralded as "the next big thing"

But if they werent pushed to hard as being amazing, then would we have liked them better?

perfect example, red faction guerilla. It was shadowed by prototype on release, so i wasnt expecting anything when i bought it, and was very pleasantly surprised!

There needs to be another part for the poll..

Yes

No

Only when it comes to fighting games

i dont own any games but still have a gamespot account

Because i know from personal experience and witnessing other people. That fighting games, make you mad.... No matter how placid the person is, if your playing a fighting game, and keep getting beaten, over, and over, and over. You will end up throwing that conrtoller. I dont know why, i dont get mad in any other game. But games like Fight Night Round 4, Street Fighter 4, tekken and things like that, they just make me mad when i lose.

Symphonycometh

THIS IS A FALSEHOOD! I HAVE NEVER THROWN MY CONTROLLER AT SOME.....Wait... *Tekken 5 flashback* Okay, you win this one.

[QUOTE="majadamus"] It seems as if he is. He said he didn't enjoy a lot of those games in his collection. Although he did get some of them for cheap. taplok

to be completely and utterly honest. Gaming to me is alllll about relaxation. If i pay 100 bucks for a game, and it keeps me entertained and relaxes me for a few hours, then that is the games purpose served. There are some games i bought, for cheap, that i played once, a few ive played 4 or 5 times and havent traded in. I didnt necesarilly have a fun time playing them, but didnt hate it either.I sometimes like to play crap games, it makes me appreciate great games all the better. If all we had was AAA games, then AAA would become the norm, and get boring. Also, i dont buy into reviews and stuff :S gaming is all about personal preference, kinda like trying to review art, or poetry. Just doesnt work, so i play a lot of games, and gauge for myself wether i like them or not. (like godfather 2, i really liked it despite the bad ratings)

As a whole, i greatly enjoy gaming, its a downtime for my head, which never really rests. So in answer to your question, yes. i have enjoyed playing the vast majority of those games Immensely!

Then, i give you a 10! Congratulations mattyperkins! Happy gaming!

Hahaha! thankyou :) Happy Gaming to you too!

There are two things i hate, which a HAVE to point out im sorry.. People who BLATANTLY spell things ridiculously wrong. (i do it too, but not as often as some people) and people who use the word "Addicting" seriously... addicting? its addictive!!!

Now that i have that out of the way, yes VALKYRIA chronicles is an amazing game :)

R0rschach-

HAHA BLATANTLY... lol'd so hard :D:D:D
